Dr. Margulies began a career in private practice in 1996. In 1999, he founded the Digestive Disease Center in Princeton, NJ. He treats a variety of disorders of the GI tract, including Esophagus, Stomach, Small Intestines, Pancreas, Liver, Gallbladder, Colon and Anal Canal. Dr. Craig Margulies graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a BA in Chemistry and Mathematics. During his time at Penn, he spent 3 years working at a research lab, where he studied the composition of gallstones. He spent the summer of 1984 at the Wistar Institute performing Biomolecular research.

After graduating from Penn, he enrolled in the Medical College of Pennsylvania, where he earned his doctoral degree. Dr. Margulies continued his education at Temple University Hospital, where he completed his training in Internal Medicine. After his residency program, he was accepted at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he completed a 3 year GI fellowship.
