Buckhorn Bar & Grill

Was in the area, used Unilocal to help find a lunch spot. Was not led astray. Hamburger and onion rings!

Hubby wanted to give it two stars. Well-​meaning, but understaffed or under-​managed. We’ve eaten at far less staffed pubs with much better service. Took FOREVER to get drinks and food, but burgers were good and total bill was super cheap. Not sure if go back, but I wouldn’t write it off. (I’m generous, clearly.)

I’d have to give 4 stars, but the wait took FOREVER! I read the reviews after and it was spot on. Really good burgers and fries. Small bar with covered porch out back on the river. Cheap bill.
This place had good ratings so we gave it a try. Nice staff, just not a whole lot of them. If we didn’t have a time crunch we’d go again. If you’ve got time to kill and wanna have some beers and food, go here.

Wow, this place was a pretty shitty experience. I definitely would not go back there. I looked up places in the area and this one had good reviews, but my experience was not even close.
I’m not from the area but I could tell the place was filled with regulars who made me feel a little uneasy. Both the bartender and waitress never smiled.
I sat at the bar to order a drink and the bartender waited on me last after getting all the regulars a round first. I told her I would like to order food since other people were eating at the bar. And she never came back to take my order for food or another beverage. A lady next to me (regular) wanted food and waved a waitress over to take our orders.
The waitress didn’t answer my questions about their wings. The wings themselves were heavily breaded and small. I’d say the only thing I liked was the buffalo sauce.
Then, when I tried to close out the bartender grabbed my glass to make another drink. Never said a word or made eye contact. Just assumed I would like the same thing, which would have been okay if it was not the first time at the place.

Went into try this place out because I heard dad good burgers. We got there around noon and the place was packed and they wasn’t any tables so we left to do some errands and came back around an hour to two hours later. It’s an old bar with a lot of Fish and game trophies regular bar feel with some tables here in there my wife had the mushroom Swiss Burger and I had the California burgerand we ordered a side of sweet potato fries. The wait was long but well worth it. The food was exceptional. Both burgers tasted phenomenal and we didn’t mind waiting because they had some good beers on tap them have nice laid-​back bar atmosphere.

Great food with great prices. We filled up and had food left over and it was only $ 25. The chili was fresh and tasted good without being overly seasoned. The burgers were fresh with great flavor. They are square and the chef even cut the lettuce square. You have to get the corn fritters. They were delightful. We will be going back when we are in the area.

This is a great place! The bar is dark and dive-​y, perfect for watching the game and drinking some beers. They have a wonderful back porch to sit and eat and stare at the Fox River. We even saw a woodchuck! The food was delicious. I highly recommend the hot cheese and ham sandwich with raw onion and horseradish mayo (which is part of the menu description but you have to order separately), cheese curds, and mac and cheese bites.

Best hamburgers and fritters a gal could hope for! owners are super nice and hospitable!

My boyfriend’s parents have a house on Green Lake, Buckhorn is a must when we visit! We have to have the burgers they are amazing!!! Karen is awesome too, she is always so busy but is always friendly! We Love Love Love Buckhorn!

No complaints here– good food, friendly service. An extra star for being able to sit outside on a patio a few feet from the Fox River, and watch birds coming to the bird feeder, and hummingbirds to the nectar feeder in the riverside flower garden.
Standard bar fare, well done! We shared a Mushroom Swiss burger, sweet potato fries and corn fritters, washed down with pints of tap beer. Would definitely go back again!

Best burger in Princeton Wisconsin. To be sure.
This is a square burger with fresh meat and fixings, and the best part is it’s on a delicious ciabatta roll.
To start though, don’t forget to have yourself some Mac and Cheese Bites, straight out of the Blue Box… breaded and deep fried into little triangles… oh yeah…
