History
Established in 2004.
Mel started guiding with his web site www.minnesotaflyfishing.com in 2004 to help with college and child expenses. He loved showing others the joy of SE Minnesota fly fishing and began to dream of a fly shop in the area. In 2014 the dream became reality with purchase of a building at 208 St. Paul Street becoming The Driftless Fly Fishing Co. World Headquarters in Preston, MN. He became an authorized Orvis dealer to carry the best gear you can buy and also received the Orvis Endorsed Guide status in 2014.
