Went in for an early dinner, seated promptly. Waitress was young and seemed like she wasn’t prepared to wait tables. Husband and I both ordered the king prime rib. Arrived promptly but my cut had more fat than a Walmart shopper. I get prime rib is a fattier cut but 2⁄3 fat should not make it to any table. That’s just gross.

Food never changes, the owner isn’t very friendly, it just doesn’t have that original feeling when your eating there, they try way to hard to make the food appealing that it doesn’t really taste the greatest, they really need to change up the management and menu.

We really like coming here in the summertime. We stop on the boat for dinner and their live music. The food is great, although sometimes it takes a while to get a spot.

Cool venue… Huge patio, great with nice weather. Food was very good! Only disappointment was that they would not serve us food in the lower patio for some reason they couldn’t explain.

Love! Best place in town! You will never eat a better prime rib, homemade coleslaw or scalloped potatoes than here!!!

Service: very slow, but friendly Drinks: just okay Food: decent Today is the Flood Run, a very popular motorcycle ride that attracts hundreds of people. This restaurant is immediately on the route. No excuse.

We stopped and told the cheerful hostess we wanted to sit outside. She gave us 3 options. 1. Roof — order drinks at the bar and sip them on the roof. 2. Main level — dinner served outside. «Upscale» meat and seafood. 3. Lower level outside — bar type food. A bar was located on levels 2&3. We picked option number 3. If the hostess hadn’t warned us that food and drinks were different on the levels… we wouldn’t have known. While sitting on the table in the hot sun, everything looks identical. They pack the tables, some with umbrellas, in like sardines. I was WAY less than impressed with the d-bag table of 3 guys next to us that moved the high top table, umbrella with stand, AND stools over so it’d block the sun for THEM, however, allowing it to blind me. That’s certainly not the fault of Muddy Waters though, I guess. Food and bevies were great! I ordered the lemon drop martini and it did not disappoint. We shared the cheese curds and veggie egg rolls. Curds were good, albeit average. Egg rolls were decent, but over priced for the small amount. Get the ‘beef bites’ or whatever they’re called. It seemed like everyone around us ordered them and they looked amazing. I was drooling at the table. Service was prompt and polite. We’ll be back because the view. Oh man. The view can’t be beat! Also, the food and drink, obvi.

The food is decent, but a little on the expensive side for what it is. The service is spotty. We’ve had some good servers and some really bad(rude) ones. The outdoor seating is nice, but there really isn’t much of a view if that’s what you want. Prescott has several good outdoor dining establishments. I would recommend going somewhere else.

Just had the most delicious lunch at Muddy Water. The corned beef on the Reuben was tender and delicious. We had Cheese Curds that were awesome as well. Would definitely come back if my travels bring me back to Prescott, WI

Very large establishment with a ton of places to sit. They get a ton of people here and are busy on nice days because they have outside seating and who does not want to sit outside when it is nice and enjoy a couple of cold ones with friends. I met up with some friends from Rochester and this is one of their very favorite bars. I know if you sit outside you cannot help but have some bugs but it seemed to me there was a bit of a fly problem and in the middle of my meal I had to stop eating because one was deep into my food. That was it for me. It is not really the restaurants fault but I wonder if they cannot put out some more bug traps along the property —-next time if I want to take my time eating a meal i will eat inside and keep it to just drinks on the deck.

Great food! Came at a busy time and waited for a while for our food, but the food was all delicious and it was well worth the drive from St. Paul!

Stopped in with some friend’s for a bite and I must say it was pretty tasty. The menu for me being a leaf eater is very very limited but Hey I figured this going in. So I decided to go with of course my favorite cheese curds(what else is New) and I don’t regret it at all. They were nice, cheesy with just the right amount of crunch sadly I was not a fan of the blue cheese(yuck gross). The curds were amazing I definitely will back for more hopefully I’ll be drunk nxt time. The drink menu did look very tasty and tempting to say the least ^_^

It is still a four But it’s time for an update Hmmm…borderline five Not to be confused with the Muddy Waters in Uptown Minneapolis, but the quality is on par IMHO. I’m not a huge fan of eating outdoors and never have been, but if you are then Muddy Waters in Prescott is quite the treat. They have a gigantic multi-level patio on the backside of the restaurant which overlooks the confluence of the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers. Prescott seems to get a ton of motorcycle traffic, but the riders usually seem to go to No Name or Broad Street. Muddy Waters gets more of the boaters, locals and Twin Cities folks who are in Prescott that don’t want to go to a biker bar. I have nothing against bikers, just not my bag. The food is spendy given the competition in Prescott, but I think it is worth the extra greenbacks. Had to go back to my standby the Muffuletta sandwich today. So good! Get this if you go here! If you don’t like olives, ask them to hold the olive spread but it is what got me to change my opinion on olives. Now, I will get green olives on pizza and I used to despise them. One gripe is only four or five beers on tap. At least one of them is among my favorite — Rush River Unforgiven. I think the guy who came and bothered me about my Winnipeg Jets T-Shirt when I was sitting with my niece maybe had a few too many brewskies. Maybe it’s just me, but I wouldn’t bother someone at a Twin Cities bar for wearing Blackhawks gear. You do get some manners problems in the TC exurbs.

We stopped here after a day trip to the Lake Pepin area. So many of the restaurants were closed on Sunday and with the cold rainy day there were not many people around but Muddy Waters was a great find. The service was excellent — polite and attentive. The food was very good and the atmosphere was quite nice. The only reasons this is not a higher rating is 1. The ribs were only ok– a little dry and not much flavor and 2. The layout is odd, our table was right next to a serving station, and even though it wasn’t busy there wasn’t a better table, unless it was for a large party. Overall good. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy the amazing outdoor dining!

Really good place! Went here for mothers day and my family all enjoyed our meals and agreed the portions were large, which is a good thing! I got the Cajun Chicken Pasta and it was super tasty. The only reason why this isn’t 5 stars is because the food took a while even though there weren’t very many people and the prices could have been slightly cheaper. I will be back!

My girlfriend and I recently drove here just for the chicken wings. We had stopped here on a weekend trip and they were stuck in our memory for like a year! We came back to find the wings exactly as awesome as we remembered. The other food was probably fine, I can’t even really remember because the wings exploded my brain almost. The deck is surprisingly awesome, it overlooks the St. Croix and is gigantic! I highly recommend Muddy Waters!

There are not enough stars to rate this place. Everything about Muddy Waters is perfection. No place better for food, ambience, drinks, fun, relaxation, whatever. Love!

What a find! I was traveling through Prescott for business and needed a nice place to chill out. This joint was exactly what I needed. Good country thick and healthy food and a full service bar. Yes, this is indeed named after the great blues musician Muddy Waters with memorabilia to match. I recommend the Muffaletta(Grilled, shaved salami and ham, peppers on ciabatta) mother of God it is nice. Be sure to walk around and check out the memorabilia on the walls, it’s very cool. Right on the St. Croix River so the patio has a great view to match. Enjoy your visit! Quite the little strip as well.

Outstanding baked Brie appie, excellent salads, and the shrimp salad hoagie was top notch. Highly recommended.
