A Happy Home Energy Consulting was founded in 2005 by Nathan Hodgson A.A.S. with the vision of providing an affordable way for anyone to start transitioning their lives to a more energy efficient and less expensive existence.

Fees are all sliding scale and need based, some services (like the initial 15 min phone consult) are provided free of charge to certain individuals in certain situations. I have a degree in renewable energy technology from San Juan College N.M. and have more than 10 years of experience with many interesting technologies including but not limited to… Solar Electric Grid Tied and Off Grid, Solar Hot Water, Wind Turbines, Micro Hydroelectric, and S.V.O. vehicle conversions (Diesel to Vegetable Oil).

Some homeowners may qualify for Government and Utility Company programs that will put a Solar Energy system on your home for no money down… and your reduced electric bill will also pay off the panels on your roof!

We specialize in saving you money on energy costs for little or no money out of your pocket. We live in and love AZ so we will be around to maintain and look after 30 year warranties for many of our products!

Nathan Hodgson has been passionate about freeing people from the chains of utility company enslavement and ever rising prices since his Mother had to choose between paying the energy bills or putting decent food on the table month after month.

Born in 1977 Nathan Hodgson always wanted to do things for himself… despite the breathing and health problems that came with growing up in an industrial valley in the Midwest he succeeded at a young age in the food service industry and was a professional chef for 15 years. Also he was an avid urban gardener… he wanted to grow and cook good food… the basis of survival. Then he began to look at other basic needs for survival in this world; shelter, clean water, energy, transportation. Why did it cost so much and take so much of our personal energy to provide these things for our families? Technology was supposed to make our lives easier and stress free… where is this promise we have been taught in school?

There is a better way, and I can show it to you!
