Had everything that I needed. Some of the produce was a bit pricy but overall I would recommend this supermarket

I don’t usually gush romantically about supermarkets — but I JUSTLOVETHISPLACE! When you are in the middle of nowhere and the closest chain market is several dozen miles away in either direction — Jim’s is an oasis in a wasteland! That it survives at all is a testament to Jim’s grit and determination and that of the residents of Prattsville, who were wiped from the face of the earth by hurricane flood waters several years back — but rebuilt and survive. Jim’s is not large or gimmicky, but what he stocks is fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. Amazingly complete really. The meat is local, delicious and CHEAP. They are my go to source for pork shoulder, chops, brisket and ribs — that go straight from their meat case — into my smoker for a dozen hours. I always bring some back to Jersey — the quality beats the pants off anything you can find locally. The produce is reliable too and they carry most everything you would ordinarily need to stock a cook’s kitchen — locally sourced artisan bread, free range, organic eggs and even a few dozen varieties of ice cream. Whatever they don’t carry — they will try and find for you. Jim’s even sells a variety of fresh seafood and shellfish as a regular item, an unusual find in the high Catskills, and the NY Times is always available on a Saturday and Sunday morning. Yes … we do analog entertainment and get newsprint on our hands up here — which helps slow the lifestyle way down … A general market of one sort or kind has occupied this location for more than 50 years — but it has never been as complete and useful to the locals and tourists alike. Thank you Jim for carrying on a vital tradition and helping anchor Prattsville’s renaissance.
