Pizza Hoss

Order from here last week and I would have to say that it was one of the best pizzas we have had since we have moved to the knoxville area. The employee that too the order was extremely helpful and courteous. The only thing that keeps this from being a 5 out of 5 is that it took some time to deliver it, however, they were extremely apologetic. I think we have found our new pizza place.

The pizza is typical, love the garlic knots, service is good, but the staff do not wash their hands! Gross! Sanitation trumps all so be wearing if u fear food poisoning

We tried Pizza Hoss last night for the first time. I am glad we did. The employee that answered the phone was friendly and made ordering easy. I ordered the large 1 topping pizza with cinnamon knots special and an order of wings. The pizza was really good. I would have liked a little more sauce but realize I like more sauce on my pizza than most do. The cinnamon knots were really good. I don’t know what kind of icing they give you but it was yummy! A definite upgrade from the icing the local pizza chains use. The winner of the meal had to be the wings. The wings were by far the best I have ever had from a pizza place and maybe the best I’ve had ever! They were perfectly cooked and sauced. The pieces were large, juicy and simply delicious! We will definitely be ordering from Pizza Hoss again.

I was really let down with my experience here a month or so ago. I had really wanted to try Pizza Hoss, as I’d heard some good things about it and the reviews, for the most part, were good. The girl who took my order over the phone told me she was new, so I didn’t mind that it took a while to get all of my information. She actually entered my address incorrectly (in itself not a huge deal, mistakes are mistakes). I received a call an hour after placing my order telling me they couldn’t deliver to my area. This is when we got the address mixup straightened out; and although I was a little annoyed at this not being figured out for an hour (when quoted 40 mins for delivery) i was still ready to wait for the pizza until I heard someone in the background instructing the girl to tell me «that is still just barely inside our delivery area but we will do it this one time». Wow. that’s welcoming. Either do it or don’t; don’t do me any favors. When the pizza got here another hour later, it was just warm, and very, very greasy. I was really underwhelmed and disappointed by the whole experience, especially because I’d wanted to support a local establishment vs a chain. At least the chains near me don’t deliver to my house begrudgingly, and most all of them can get a pizza delivered in under 2 hours. I honestly think if i’d been able to eat the pizza right away, when hot and fresh, it still would just be mediocre. The prices weren’t bad if they pizza had actually been good/​experience good.

Not very good. Another failed experiment. Back to the same old pizza places. I will be so glad when Knoxville gets good pizza. I wasted $ 36.01 on 2 pizzas.
Edit: Knoxville has a few great pizza places, just not in Powell. Hard Knox Pizza 5 stars. Tomatohead 5 stars. This place was not a very good pizza experience.

In town for a short trip and had to try this local pizza shop after a friend recommended it. I’ve never been a big fan of the local pizza here so my expectations weren’t too high. As I sat on my bed at the Scottish Inn and dug into the pizza while catching up on some work, I was delightfully surprised! The toppings were generous and full of flavor, and the dough was just addictive. I’m glad I’m not on a low-​carb diet! For dessert I had cinnamon knots that I just could not put down. I’m so glad I can finally find some good pizza here when I’m in town! Thank you Pizza Hoss!
