Slab Masters Barbecue

I’m not sure we’ll go back– it won’t be for the pork. Pulled pork was far from my fav, wife’s ribs were good according to her, but my sample was nothing special. If you’re going to go, get there early in the day. They do run out of food, which is a good thing– why waste food?

I love this place. Puts The other BBQ place in Powder Springs to shame. The food is delicious. The ribs were great. The cabbage was not overlooked nor was it greasy. The loaded baked beans were also delicious. The portions for the sides were small so if you get a half slab and are getting sides to share, go with the larger size. The peach cobbler was very good as well. I definitely recommend this place for awesome take out.

I have been wanting to try Slab Masters for the last month now and finally stopped by there today for a Rib dinner with spicy sauce and 2 sides that included the Mac and cheese and Cabbage. I also ordered the Peach Cobbler for Dessert.
Here are my thoughts:
The Ribs– 5 stars! Very tender with lots of flavor and the spicy sauce was delicious! I will say not everyone will like it because it is really spicy but I liked it a lot. The only issue I had with the Ribs is they give you 3 Ribs and the Dinner is like 12 dollars. I feel like it could be at least 4 Ribs for that price.
The sides– I give the cabbage 4 out of 5 stars and the Mac and Cheese 3 out of 5 stars. I am very funny about Mac and Cheese and this one was like a boxed Mac and Cheese or something. Just okay to me. Plus the portion sizes were so small.
The Peach Cobbler ($ 3.00) was very good. It had the right amount of ingredients and crust. Not too sweet just right.
I will definitely be back to try some of the other items on the menu.

Pretty good food! I had the PO’boy chicken and the hubby had PO’boy pork. We both had a spicy sauce. The Mac-​n cheese is really good, I just didn’t have enough. The only thing they need is a regular BBQ sauce. They have sweet and spicy.

Finally a GREAT BBQ place in Powder Springs!!! It’s small but it’s great! It’s affordable and nice size portions. I went for lunch and got the PoBoy chicken sandwich with the spicy BBQ sauce and home made macaroni and cheese… the sandwich was huge and the mac & cheese was DELICIOUS! I was so satisfied that I went back for dinner. I got the ribs, more mac & cheese and cabbage. The cabbage was great also… it had bacon pieces in it… you can’t go wrong with putting bacon in anything! I can’t forget that the people greet you with a smile. I absolutely will be returning to this place many many times!
