This location has the friendliest staff and they know their stuff! We were shopping for the paint and Robert in the paint department was just the best, great personality and supper friendly. This is official the Home Depot we will be coming to from now on !!!

Me and my husband came in late in the evening to buy an new appliances for our new home. We received help from Larry. He was supper nice and very helpful. He took time to ensure the individual price was not different from the skew price. At the other Home Depot you don’t always find an employee who can offer expert advice but they are very good here. Thanks again Larry!!!

Larry took the time to assist me with my purchase and a pricing issue that was a nightmare to deal with. If it was not for Larry Marth, I would have cancelled my order and had gone to Lowes. Larry is a true asset to Home Depot! In the 20 years that I have been in sales and the customer service industry, I know good talent when I see it. Larry is THE MAN! He knows his products and vendors. Thank you Larry for all your help, you deserve a big Unilocal!

This is a poorly managaged store that wasted my time. After checking in to pickup items ordered online the first employee said she would meet me at the loading section but never came. The guy at the pro desk next to the loading section said there was nothing on the computer. The third employee took about 30 minutes to find the keys to «the cage» where the items were supposedly waiting for me to pickup. It took 40 minutes to get part of my order, the majority of it was 10 bags of concrete (just like the bags I was sitting on while I waited). At one hour, the third employee was still waiting to talk with the first employee about the remaining 5 fence panels, so I cancelled the order. I drove 40 minutes past about 7 closer Home Depot stores because all the items were in stock at this Poway store and supposedly ready for pickup. Go to a different store (the two departments I walked through – flooring and concrete were cluttered and dirty), or try Lowes.

Thought my first review would be of a place that I spend a good amount of my free time. Everyone that I’ve asked for assistance has been more than helpful. I used the tool rental today and had a great experience with Garret. He filled me in on some tips and ran through a how to before I embarked another project. Great customer service!

This is one of the better-​kept HD’s I’ve been to, and the staff are very courteous and professional. I’ll actually go a bit out of my way to get to this store. The garden dept has an especially good selection of decorative pieces and healthy plants.

Whenever I’m in need of a small screw/​bolt fixture, or even weird sized bulb they usually have it here. Also a large selectin of different paint and plenty of parking compared to the Midway location. Fair prices compared to boutique hardware stores.

Waited at the paint counter unacknowledged for more than 5 minutes while the guy helped some other ladies during this time though 2 guys walked up, were immediately acknowledged and had their questions addressed. Am I invisible? I was standing directly in front of him! I walked out and went to Lowes which I should have known to do initially!

Freshly popped popcorn on Saturdays + Free hot dogs from the barbecue Memorial Day weekend! Though those elements don’t usually draw in the typical Home Depot customer, but I’m also not the typical Home Depot customer. I’m usually either tricked or forced to come here by my handyman boyfriend. Home Depot is his playground. His eyes light up as he walks by the aisles of lumber and looks for the right tools for his next home improvement project.
As for me? I can usually be found wandering around the Garden Center looking at all the pretty hydrangeas or inside looking at orchids. Occasionally, I’ll try to find a friend’s name on a plastic Coke bottle by the cash registers. Once, around Christmastime, I tried on all the singing hats!
Alright, enough about me. Let’s talk about Home Depot & how awesome it is… coming from a girly girl who always ends up here against her will!
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Wow! Recently came here to purchase some lumber (2x4s and some plywood) to assist in making a work bench… Ron Swanson, formerly of the Parks and Rec Dept, would be so proud of me! We got amazing service from a tall, friendly, and knowledgeable lumberjack employee (forgot his name) who helped us pick the right type of wood for the project.
Then, he went over to look for «Ahnuld Schwarzenegger,» who ended up being a Hispanic employee named Arnold who worked in the lumber dept. How sick is that! Arnold had such a positive attitude and was very professional. He helped us cut the wood to the right sizes we needed and shared some hilarious stories with us too. Buying & cutting wood couldn’t have been more enjoyable! Lmao!
Also, on another occasion, I needed to measure if our SUV had enough space to fit the wood we were buying, and the cashier clerk allowed me to borrow her measuring tape, no questions asked. I always appreciate some good olé fashioned trust in the world, so I thought that was pretty cool.
In the Garden Center, I wanted help finding an indoor house plant, possibly for my office, and again, all the employees were so helpful in edumacating me.
I’ve also had some positive interactions in the Paint Dept too, and we got everything we needed and some good recommendations for the types of rollers to use with the type of paint we bought. Marquee is awesome! 1 coat is seriously all you need!
PRODUCTS
I mean, I can’t speak much on this part. My boyfriend always knows what he’s looking for, and always finds it here. So far, so good, no complaints… except for maybe the corner & ceiling/​wall paint tools we bought. Those were pretty useless, so you might as well just use a brush and do it hands free with blue tape as your guide.
OVERALL
Great Home Depot location… if there’s no free food happening that day, not to worry. You can always head over to Costco right next door and grab a $ 1.50 hot dog & soda! Yummmmm.

Great customer service! Home Depot knows how to pick and train their employees right. Went there after spending 30 minutes at Lowe’s asking for help and standing around, waiting for someone to help me, which they never did. Every time I’ve been in Home Depot, it seems like every employee knows about everything in the store.
Yesterday, Jean was very knowledgeable about the power tools and also went and found out about the extended service plans for me. At the service desk, Kian was really friendly and helpful with my will call pick up order and had it ready in minutes. Danielle was friendly and helped me by calling customer service several times because the system wouldn’t recognize my new Home Depot card.
Lowe’s Poway is a newer store but don’t waste your time there. Most of their employees are lazy, rude or just plain idiots.

This is a smaller HD but rated number one in sales and customer service with the southern Cali district. The associates are very attentive and knowledgable. At times they are very under staffed but the drive for then best customer experience is there and they cater to customers very well. I would recommend this site to anyone in north county.

Always a pleasure, great service, wonderful return desk, great employee attitude (s) and personnel. Well managed facility in every way.
I would like to suggest the «in store“solar people hit the road, it’s irritating.

We just moved and we needed plants and flowers for our new Patio. I saw something on Pinterest and I headed to Home Depot.
The truth is that going to Home Depot scares me. I know what I want my patio or home to look like but I have no idea how to make it happen. There’s lots of parts and tools up and down the aisles… I just need what’s in the picture; How do I do that!?!
We walked into the garden center and right away I was intimidated. Where are the planters? What plants could we got in these planters? What plants can survive even if I don’t know how to keep them alive? So many questions and no clue.
Luckily, Laurie in the gardening department is like a flower angel. She was busy helping someone else when I approached her but she said she’d be right back. I told her I wouldn’t move and I didn’t. I waited at that spot since I was already lost anyway.
Laurie came back and found me and she stayed calm and listened while I showed her my Pinterest boards and asked over 20 questions in 10 minutes. She took it all in and said, «Follow me.» We did and she picked out flowers, plants, and planters while giving detailed instructions on care, planting, & maintenance. I wrote everything she said down and after a few «a-​ha» moments, I’m confident we can put this patio together. If not, I’ll be back to see Laurie.
Laurie said helping people put together their dream garden is the fun part of her job.
I can’t believe people garden for fun. I’m not there yet…

Just had the most amazing customer service I’ve ever had in my life from Mike. He’s the Manager in the lumber department and answered every question we had and helped us immensely, build and design a ramp. I will never go to Lowes or Dixieline again. Mike has earned my business for life

If you’re looking for a HD that is not crowded this is the place to go. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This is the best Home Depot I have been to. The staff is really helpful. I came here to buy shelving supplies for a project I was doing in my garage. I found it really easy to navigate and the staff was helpful.
There’s never enough check out stands open for some reason but that’s a common theme at home depot. –1 point

Lots of parking. It shares a huge parking lot with only Costco so its not as busy.

When it was 104′ outside, they offer free ice cold water bottles.
If I have the time to hit this store over the one closer to my home, the longer drive is well worth it!

Came here to paint our living room. Nice employees, good customer service and great paint selection. This is a newer store then the Carmel Mountain store.

Pretty typical Home Depot experience. For the most part I think Home depot does the best job and keeping a consistent feel among their stores. But I guess when it’s just aisles of tools in a warehouse environment how hard could it be? It comes down to the help you receive from the employees. Since this isn’t my primary Home Depot I can’t comment on that area too much but when I came in to get my keys copied recently they were prompt, that’s something.
