The Gateway and Gateway Gardens offers resort-​style living with 134 luxury apartments in our Independent Living and 66 in our Assisted Living. We are beautifully situated atop acres of hillside. We are located off Pomerado Road, beside Pomerado Hospital. The Gateway and Gateway Gardens are close to numerous commercial, health and retail businesses, as well as many recreational options (e.g. golf courses).

Residents have many floor plan options to choose from in each building. Our Independent Living apartments all have walk in closets and full upgraded kitchens. Our Assisted Living apartments have vaulted ceilings and beautifully appointed kitchenettes.

Our fine dining rooms are luxurious and look as appealing as the food served there! Our dining room hours give each resident flexibility in matching mealtimes to personal schedules. Private and patio dining are available.

Our activities are schedule seven days a week throughout the day. On site, in addition to the large recreation rooms, we have libraries, card rooms, exercise areas, and TV rooms. We also offer planned excursions once a week.

History

Established in 1980.

RHF is one of the nation’s largest non-​profit providers of housing and services for older adults, persons with disabilities, and low-​income families.

RHF was founded in 1961 by two United Church of Christ clergy and a layman with a vision of providing quality housing and services for seniors.

With $ 7,000 and that vision they launched what has become one of the nation’s largest non-​profit providers of housing and services for older adults. The mission has since expanded to include persons with various disabilities and low-​income families.

The Gateway was built in 1980 and The Gateway Gardens in 2011 in an effort to provide the luxury housing experience with the home like environment!
