Progressive Security Screens

Todd and Oscar were very easy to work with. When I decided to get a security screen installed, I called Todd who gave me a quote right over the phone and came that very same day to take measurements. He then told me that Oscar would come in a week and install it. Indeed, a week later Oscar came by and installed my security screen. This is a great business to work with and they are very professional. I highly recommend them.

Just had my French door screens installed today and I already love them. The sleek design – without BARS – belie the fact that they are incredibly secure. They let in all the light and air and they self-​close quietly behind you. I can’t wait to begin replacing my other doors and possibly windows with Crimesafe’s other products. Mike is a true professional who did a fabulous job installing, cleaned up after himself and even calked where the hinges from the old doors were so that I could paint the molding. I highly recommend this company and their products.

We put the sliding screen security doors on both bedrooms and kitchen a few years ago. We just love them. I never worry about being broken into during the night with glass slider open. Peace of mind is wonderful.
We had a doggie door put in the bedroom slider when we purchased, and just had one installed in the kitchen slider today. They powder coated with the brown to match the screen. Dogs and I just love it.

I have had my door for four years and I couldn’t be happier with it. I always get compliments from other people remarking about what a nice door it is. The door not only looks nice, but is also very secure. In addition to the quality product, the customer service is also top notch.

Ordered 2 screens (front door and back door slider) in late Oct after extensive measurements were taken. They were installed mid-​Dec. Totally reasonable considering 1: there was a holiday and 2: I wasn’t in a hurry. They told me at the initial consultation that they were pretty busy and there was about a 6-​week wait so I was expecting it anyway. The install went smoothly. Everything was left clean. Totally professional.
When I told my friend I was getting screens he laughed at me and said it would make my house look trashy. Even when I told him the price he thought I was nuts. He came over about an hour after the install and was extremely impressed with both the look and quality of the doors. He even said he was going to recommend them to his mom.
Of course it was freezing around the time I had them installed so this weekend was the first time I had a chance to have them open. I love my new screen doors and feel totally secure with them open if I am in another part of the house. Will definitely follow-​up with window screens as soon as my new windows are installed.

We’re very satisfied with our security screen door — so much so that we just purchased another one for our guest house. The look is great — and I no longer worry about leaving the house «open» while I’m at work or out for social event. We had some trouble with the original locking mechanism … and Todd and Mike did an amazing job with the repairs (at absolutely no cost to us).
We recommended them to our across-​the-​street neighbors (who indeed purchased a door) … and I would glad do so again.

Todd just installed four custom Crimesafe security screens (two with the S-​cape) on my bedroom windows yesterday (see posted photos) — just in time for this outstanding San Diego weather we are having this weekend! Things I noticed immediately were the clarity of my view through the metal mesh to the outdoors, the softness of the light that now streams through my windows and the wonderful continuous cross-​breeze as a result of being able to leave my windows open ²⁴⁄₇ when the weather is right. You can not place a value on feeling safe in your own home and these screens definitely provide that greater sense of security. Having so many benefits, they are well worth considering as an upgrade/​investment to your home. Thanks Todd — for your outstanding customer service. I will definitely be calling to get more windows screened next year… got to get my roof re-​tiled first!

We love our screen door. I wish we had bought it years ago — Its like inexpensive air conditioning. The screen is beautiful and it appears as though your door is open — even though its black. Todd is great and so was Mike the installer. They said it would take 5 – 6 weeks and exactly 6 weeks later our door was installed. We will recommend this company to all our friends. A great product!

We are very happy with the windows and doors that were installed. Mike and Jeff are wonderful and did a thorough job with installation and explaining how everything works. We feel safer, and everything looks attractive, unlike those ugly security bars. Well worth the money, and I plan to do more business with them.

This place truly has a unique product. There certainly are some cheaper options out there, but I don’t think they will be as good. I don’t know for sure but everything I could read about the doors they sell, they are probably the best out there. We have been very happy with our screen door install and have gotten lots of compliments about it. It did take a little bit of time to get the door ordered and custom built but in the end it was worth it. My only complaint is the keys. It is not that the keys are bad or cheap, it is that they are different. It is an Australian product so they are not your standard Kwikset keys. It would be nice if they had a Simplex (mechanical button) locking option as well. Other than that the door has been great. We had one minor issue with inside locking knob, but we called and they came out and fixed it in a timely manner. I would certainly recommend them. They are not the cheapest but I think this is certainly a scenario where you get what you pay for.

We had a security screen door installed. It has a very clean look, the installation was flawless and after 6 months and about 500 times open and locking the door (for our dogs to go out) the mechanism is still as solid as new. I highly recommend this company.

I’m a big fan of their product and service. We did not want those tired old fashioned security screen doors from Home Depot. We opted for this clean modern and durable door. We’re in the process of updating our 1970s home and this added the classy finishing touch along with modern functionality to our front porch. I had some issues with the lock system at first, but progressive security screens quickly fix that and recently updated our locks to a more simplified option. They showed up the same day that I called and were able to install it. Mike has always offered us amazing customer service. I would highly recommend that you look into making the right investment and purchase one of their products.

Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever witnessed… TRULY! It took them three months to complete a screening project (two windows) for my condo complex. They installed the screening early December 2012. The job wasn’t complete as pieces of the framing were missing. After numerous emails and phone calls, they finally came back to complete the job mid-​March 2013. But wait, while finishing the framing they broke a window. It took them another month (April) to come out and fix that. Now, we have a little blame in this as well. The Association’s Secretary, who was overseeing the project, paid them before inspecting the job. So, learn from our mistake. If you chose to use this company, MAKE SURE YOU INSPECT THE JOB BEFORE PAYING THEM. Or it will take you a life time to get them back.
UPDATE: My condo complex at 4131 Ohio St was a customer of this company. At the time, I was the Association’s Vice President. The Secretary, as stated above, was our point of contact with Progressive. Our Secretary failed in the matter, as stated above. It took my emails of threat to get them back out here to complete the job. In addition, when they broke the window, they failed to inform the Association. Now, he’s stating he’s never done business with me. Apparently, not only are they unprofessional, but out right liars, too. Trust them if you may, but you’ve been warned. I have proof and would be glad to share with whomever. Contact me, and I’ll meet with you and let you talk to the other residents, specifically, the one with the broken window. Nice try Progressive Screening, but the consumers need to know of your lack of professionalism.
UPDATE #2: This guy has got to be a Republican… you keep lying WHEN I HAVE THE PROOF! Yes, Geoff did coordinate the project FOR THE HOA. He was the owner of Unit #4, not the entire complex. And yes, Geoff was our Secretary at the time. Consumers, his response to my review tells you he doesn’t get to know his customers, he just want their money. And yes, you are right, Greg H will never be a customer of you half-​ass company EVER again! Consumers, contact me, I have all the proof you need that these guys suck.

Love the product and love the customer service! For months after I had the screens installed (sliders) I never even closed the sliding glass doors. I like the fresh air and I felt secure. I am only closing the glass doors now because I have the A/​C on in the house. Very good product and very nice looking. The install was tricky, but they got it done. Todd is very knowledgeable and provides wonderful customer service. Lead time has been a little long, but it is a custom product. Todd is working on it, so he will not have to be a the mercy of the company in Florida. Highly recommended.

We just had Crimsafe screens installed on every window and they look fantastic! We now feel safe leaving the windows open when we sleep at night or when we are away at work everyday. We also needed an odd sized screen door — we had looked at all the security doors at hardware stores and none would fit — Todd and his crew custom made our screen door and it is sooo much nicer than anything we looked at. It locks at top, middle and bottom and is totally secure — but has no bars — looks like a regular screen door — but much better!
Todd and his crew were very professional — showed up exactly when they said they would. Todd must have measured everything correctly because all the screens fit perfectly.
We are VERY happy! We thought we would get screens for only some of the windows but they looked so great — we just did them all.
The only down side to the whole experience was we had to wait several weeks after the windows were measured until we could get them installed — but Todd told us this at the very beginning. They were well worth waiting for!
