My animal family has been recieving excellent care for the past 30 years from Midland Animal Clinic. Only one time have I gone elsewhere and that was when they recommended a cancer specialist for my cat Spats.
From the front office to the Doctors these folks are absolutely the best professional people I have ever been associated with. I highly recommend them to anyone that loves Animals.

We love the online ease of making appointments, the pet app they offer in order to better communicate with their clients, the pristine & pretty clinic, & the thorough & friendly office staff. Above all, we adore our vet. Dr. Davis is absolutely exceptional. Approachable, knowledgeable, honest, & understanding. She immediately made us feel welcome and at home. Her assistant, Kelly, was just as wonderful. Our dog is loved & cared for in this office. More than worth the drive from Escondido… we’ll never go anywhere else.

I have been bringing my pups to Midland for 25 years. I am always pleased with the friendly, helpful staff who make bringing my pup to the vet a good experience. Dr Switzer is so gentle and takes the time to chat about my pups health discussing in detail why I’m there and how to treat my guy so he gets well. If you want to find a caring, knowledgable vet clinic for your pet, this the best place in Poway to go! Thank you Dr Switzer and staff!

I’ve been taking my dogs to Midland since 2012 and I find everyone very helpful and nice. I request the same vet when I take my dog in and the only reason I may not have the same vet during a visit is if it is of an urgent nature and they are not available. I’ve recommended this clinic to several people and they are just as happy as I am with everyone there.

Been going here for years. They are very reasonable and don’t try to sell you on services. They love animals and I am so glad to have found this place!

My 58# mixed breed 3 year old rescue dog Daisy got hurt on 2÷2÷16 at the dog park. She scarred her carpal pad on her left foot and started licking it nonstop. We put antiseptic ointment neosporin on the cut and wrapped it gauze and elastic tape. Of course she liked to try and pull it off all the time. We put on her Cone of Shame to prevent her from chewing on her tape. We did this until yesterday and decided to take her to a Vet to make sure it was healing properly as her pad was still a little red. At 9 am I called the Midland Animal Clinic. We are new to the area and had not yet gotten a new Vet so we Unilocaled the veterinarians in this area and thought we would try them. They said to bring in Daisy at 11 that morning. I printed the New Patient form and completed the forms to bring them with me. We arrived at the clinic, gave them the forms and waited for the vet about 10 minutes an assistant came up to us and took us into an exam room. He then took Daisy out of the room to weigh her. She went willingly. A few minutes later he came back with her weight and said the doctor would be in a couple of minutes. A few minutes later the Doctor Harrod came in and kneeled down next to Daisy to examine her (I find that some doctors do not sit on the floor and try and put the dog on to a table which scares the dogs). While on the floor he looked at the cut and said it was healing nicely and told us to keep it the cut open to the air and not wrap it. He said no other treatments were necessary.
We thanked him and went to the front desk to pay. We were charged the standard office fee for the visit. No other charges. I thought that this was very reasonable. Recap: They took her within 2 hours of my call; saw Daisy within a few minutes of our arrival; and charged a very reasonable amount.
We will be transferring our dogs’ medical records here. The office is clean, it is spacious so that you can keep your dog separated from other dogs or cats if need be.
My first experience was very good.

Midland Animal Clinic in Poway is fantastic! We have been coming to this group of veterinarian super star doctors, assistants, and team for years (even at their prior location before they moved). Bottom line — everyone cares about you. You walk in, they greet you by name «is this Trooper Turner?» Not the owners name, rather the patients name … the dog. Love it! It’s cool! It’s consistently a great experience an our dogs seem to quickly recover from all the various things labs get into (rashes, flees, ears, etc.). It’s odd when you pay a bill for a pet and you leave feeling good. This is a great place to trust your pet is in great hands.

We switched to Midland fairly recently because of a move. Quite happy with them so far!

Today I brought in my Rottie Layla with some stomach issues and staff is always so kind. Tessa the vet tech really made Layla feel loved and safe and Dr. Harrod was very kind as well… I absolutely love this clinic!

Have taken my dog here for years after getting the run around at another vet. Have always felt them to be honest about what needs to be done and what doesn’t. Not just out to make a buck.

I was in need of a new vet after a long stint (since 1993) with Dr. Dhillon at Black Mountain Road Clinic.
Today I took my cat to the Midland Animal Clinic in Poway. I had read reviews on Unilocal,good and bad, but had it from a good source that this place was worth the time and effort. My cat had an upper respiratory infection, with symptoms of coughing and sneezing. Dr. Mike Harrod, D.V.M. could have easily talked me into blood work and lung x-​rays but instead offered antibiotics. And he offered two choices: a twice a day pill for 2 weeks or a shot that lasted 2 weeks, noting that the shot was $ 20 more.
They did not nickel and dime me. I found their prices to be comparable and the office to be quite pleasant. The front office staff was friendly and helpful, the vet tech was nice and sympathetic and the vet was knowledgeable.
My cat has a sneeze now and again but is doing much better; no more cough. I think that I have found the new animal clinic for my cats.

One of my clients use this place and I was in the market for looking for the One and Only vet I want to do business with and it so happened I also needed to get my 2 dogs their rabies shot seeing how I recently moved back to San Diego and the day I took my two dogs in, my mind was made up.
What really sealed the deal is that my Dog, Simba loves the place. He had no fear of walking in and once he did, he wanted to make friends with all the other does that were there and that is not like him.
The place is state of the Art in their field in my opinion. Very nice looking and big. I highly recommend this place.

Love this place!!! I have been taking my dogs here for over 8 years now! We live in The OC now and take a special trip down here just for the amazing care and people here!

I cant say enough about these fine folks…
My Zeke 13 yr old rat terrier just developed a heart condition.
They have him feeling better after just one day, and we will continue to work with them to ensure his comfort as he ages and the condition changes.
Real fine people.

The staff at Midland Animal Clinic is friendly and professional. The waiting room is large and clean. I saw three different vets to treat my Husky for a snake bite to the face and also pancreatitis. All three took their time with me to explain treatment options and answer questions and followed up with phone calls to check on his progress. They treated my dog with genuine kindness and saved his life.

This is a fantastic clinic. Everyone is so friendly and really seem to truly care about animals and taking care of our cat. We recently took our cat in for dental surgery and everyone there was very nice about following up and checking in to make sure he was recovering well. Would never go to a different vet!

The staff at Midland Animal Clinic are very nice and professional. I never worry about the care that my pets receive.

We were taking our Yorkie to a clinic in San Marcos although we live in Poway. We wanted to change to a closer vet and a second opinion allowed us to do just that. Midland Vetinary took our pup without an appointment and spent quality time with her and us. We loved the doctor and feel great with the change!

Time to change vets!!! I called to get my dog in for a semi urgent problem (which required immediate attention and sedation for a procedure) The receptionist was rude and said they would try to fit him in but didn’t know how long we would have to wait and when I explained he was in pain and breathing hard she lacked both empathy and kindness. I was told maybe they could work him but my office visit would be up charged. Seriously? This place used to be great but after 14 years I’m tired of never seeing the same vet twice, inflated prices and a lack of small town feel that I used to like. The office staff needs some happy pills!

Midland Animal Clinic is a dream come true! Very clean facilities and extremely professional staff. Kelsey, vet asst, was so kind and helpful. I could tell she really enjoys her job. She was very attentive to all clients, four legged and two legged!
Dr. Kerry was so sweet and professional. I recently found some fleas on my pup and that’s what brought us in. I really appreciated how she took her time explaining everything concerning the situation, how we can take care of the problem and how to prevent it from getting worse. She answered all my questions and concerns. I never felt rushed out of the office. I never felt like the staff was trying to upsell me and try to push products on me. They gave me some information on a different flea medication and let me make my own decision without any pressure. I really appreciated that.
The energy of the whole office was just very calm and mellow! It helped me stay relaxed and especially my pup!
Fecal test was administered and I got a call back the very next day with results! So quick and efficient! I really appreciate the kindness, professionalism and care taken at Midland Animal Clinic. Thank you guys so much!
