Intermountain Radiator & Air Conditioning

Intermountain Radiator has saved me a lot of money that other repair shops would have charged me. A few years ago, I took my car in to some other place for repairs and was quoted about $ 2200. After expressing my frustration with paying this much, a friend referred me to Intermountain Radiator to get a 2^nd opinion, which I fortunately did. David quoted me half the amount. Of course, I had him fix my car instead of the other place and he did a wonderful job. I’ve been using his shop ever since and refer it all the time to people looking for a mechanic.

I have been using Intermountain Radiator for years. Dave and his crew are the best! I never hesitate to refer Intermountain to my customers and my family. My parents recently had a problem with the AC in their car and Dave fixed it on the spot at a fraction of what my parents regular mechanic was going to charge. They are great people! Thanks for taking good care of my parents Dave!

Took my Toyota Camry in red line overheating because this place was recommended by A+ Auto up the street who didn’t want to give me the time of day, well turns out both places service and expertise wasn’t up to par.
I gave one star because they did call me and give there opinion of what was going on, but it was only an opinion, Intermountain said it was a blown head gasket and when I asked them if they did a block pressure test (some customers know something about cars) they said we didn’t have to because when I took the oil cap off it was somewhat milky. That is not the way you diagnose an overheating problem and these people are experts? I took it to Richardson Buick/​GMC down the street they performed all the correct tests and it turned out to be an air bubble, head gasket was fine nothing wrong with the car. Please Question this place before excepting any work.

Very interesting. I went to them on 7÷13÷12 and took a simple water coolant hose to have it welded and the unknowledgeable owner Dave said it that he said I was better to leave it alone that if he welds my aluminum hose that it will tarnish. At first i thought wow maybe it will but then i told him that my buddy that has the same car like mine had had his done around 15 years ago and nothing ever happened. Well after i said that now he felt offended and said «well now i just wont do it». I thought to myself man if this guy is so not confident in himself why the hell would i use him. So believe it i shook his hand and he actually thought that i was thanking him for his advice but was actually thanking him for not wanting him to do it and I walked off. Also shockingly i knew it was steel NOT aluminum like he thought. Haha. See what i mean? He didnt even know it was steel. For crying out loud people. Having him been in the industry for many years like he says. Whoaaa… Big mistake! Funny these guys actually advertise on there website that they do all types of weld jobs big or small. But when it comes to someone coming up to them on a small weld job they try to shove away. Well they came across the wrong person. Iam a big networker in Poway and they definitley dont have my 5 stars on this kind of bologny. I actually went to a shop up in Escondido and they said man that is such a simple job whats the big deal with that shop in Poway and did it in 20 min. Its called «its all about the money». They also charge wayyyy too much for they’re a/​c service too on top of everything else. Geez… And good thing Unilocal doesnt have minus STARS. — Networker Ed S.

The name Radiator and Air Conditioning is deceiving. They do it all and do it well. One of the things I was concerned about when I moved from a suburb of L.A. to north county was finding a new mechanic. I had been with the same one for over 20 years. Glad to say Dave and his crew @ Intermountain more than make up for that loss. They are terrific.
