Good Guy Appliance Service

Our kitchen-​Aid refrigerator door was making loud squeaking sounds while opening or closing the door. I posted the problem on Unilocal to various appliance repair companies (all 5 stars) and requested information on the problems and quotes for repair. The various companies that responded, gave me a run around in terms of the problem/​pricing. Most of them stated a certain ($ 65 – 95) diagnostic fee which would then go towards labor and parts if work was done thru them. For parts, no clear quotes were given but was told that total repair would be between $ 150 – 200.
Despite after hours (past 7 pm), Rich responded within minutes with the possible problem with the door hinge and quoted his flat rate of $ 120 for repair + factory pricing for the parts. He gave me an estimate of not more than $ 50 for the parts (ended up paying only $ 16). Even though his flat rate appeared to be higher than that of the other companies, I decided to go with him due to simplicity of his pricing (flat rate + factory priced parts) thereby taking away the shock of pricey charges of parts and labor often quoted by repair companies in lieu of waving the diagnostic fee. In the end, my cost of repair came out much lower than the price quoted by other companies. I found Rich to be very honest and forthcoming with his answers to all my questions. He was very professional and patient in his approach and the repair was done without any issues. I will definitely use him again in the future.

Our refrigerator ice maker stopped working on a holiday weekend. We called Mark, the «Good Guy» and scheduled a visit for first thing the first working day after the holiday. Scheduled for 8:00 a.m. and he arrived at 8:00 a.m. sharp. Diagnosed the problem in just a few minutes, but had to fetch a part and return early that afternoon. Fix was done first time, perfectly. Great service. Reasonable price for expert service.

We called Good Guy Appliance Service for a broken refridgerator, and we were able to get a prompt appointment early the next morning. The service technician, Rich, arrived exactly on time, and he quickly assessed the problem and fixed the problem. He was honest, professional, and courteous with us, our children, and even our dog. I would highly recommend Good Guy Appliance Service for their efficiency, experience, and integrity. While I hope no more of my appliances break, it’s nice to know I have a technician I can trust if/​when they do!

My Maytag dryer was making a clunking sound… As you may guess when Rich with Good Guy Appliance Service came over to repair it, the dryer was quiet as a lamb!!! Rich was very patient and waited and waited for the dryer to start clunking and he was able to repair it. Rich was very professional, cleaned up his mess and very reasonably priced! I highly recommend him !!!

Rich really knows his appliances. I thought my aged washer had given up the ghost but he resurrected it and has been going strong ever since. Something else goes bad? This is the guy I’m calling.

We had Rich come out to repair our washing machine, fearing the worst because there was a huge mess on our hands and loud noises coming from the machine. Rich came in and took a look and was able to diagnose the issue right away and get the machine back up and running in no time. He was very professional and friendly.
