Out here for work and it was my first time here! Great way to start off the day. The owners are super friendly and the pastries are solid. Definitely coming back

I dont know how their donuts are but our boss brought in the bagels this morning. I grabbed a cinnamon raisin bagel. First it was very hard to cut, this should have been my first indication but I ignored it. Then I toasted it, and it was rock hard… second indication. I proceeded to pop it in the microwave to soften it up… which worked for about 60 seconds and then it hardened. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt, but then I took a bite… This bagel was not only stale, the flavor was awful. This bagel was more than a day old for sure. Me thinks not.

My wife has been talking about chocolate frosted crullers for at least 10 years(apparently a youthful pleasure, lol)…and we have not been able to readily procure them. Went to Donutopia today and they had one, and she was elated. They also had maple crullers, raspberry/lemon filled jelly donuts, croissants, donut holes… ½ dozen donuts was $ 4.00…pretty inexpensive imo! The folks that run the place are delightful and helpful. We will be back for post Poway Lakes walk indulgences from time to time. For those that drink the stuff, they have a very large selection of coffee as well. Happy New Year everyone!

Yuck health department shut them down for a infestation of cockroaches and mice! Looks like they opened back up I will never eat there again! It makes me sick just thinking about how many times my 9 yr old daughter and I ate there

Worst donuts I bought two threw one out my window. They were that bad… small expensive and gross. How do you screw up a donut

Not bad but not the best I ever had(or at least thats what she said). Their homer simpson donut is the best. The 50 cent fee they charge for any card transaction is not the best. 85c donut + 50c card fee =:( I am not a fan of their fruit filling — it tastes very cheap. I was even disappointed by their chocolate croissant — which is normally my go-to. They do something to stretch the chocolate(I think possibly mixing raisins in with the chocolate?) and you can tell in the lack of richness of the chocolate. Bummer! The owners are nice but this place is pricey for donuts. Try Sesame Donut instead. That place is BOMBBB.

Staff is friendly and helpful, and it’s the only option in the immediate area. The donut selection, though, is terrible. No jellies, no bear claws, no apple fritters, no crème filled, no cruellers, no twists, missing simple staples like chocolate old-fashioned… the list goes on. What donuts they do have are small and frankly not particularly great. If you need a quick donut fix, it’s there, I suppose, but if you want a proper donut shop, look elsewhere.

Yes the people here are really friendly. However, I think their donuts taste too stale and crunchy. It’s been like this every time I have had donuts from here and it’s not just the donuts, it’s the cinnamon rolls too.

I love this little gem! The owner, Tek is so sweet! This is a very cozy family owned place that always has hot coffee(I love the Hawaiin Hazelnut) and delicious donuts of all kinds! I highly reccomend this sweet little place! :)

«Fresh Donuts and Coffee» was once the fantastical strip-mall camelot, «Donutopia.» Ownership changed between cousins so all the recipes, ingredients, and suppliers stayed the same, only the name changed. It’s still a fantastic start to any day’s quest. This is a family affair and they’re all great people. Everything comes highly recommended but please don’t take the last fritter.

Great coffee, great donuts. Not quite as good as Peterson’s, but then what is? This was a great stop on our way to a nice morning hike at Iron Mountain. Only issue with this place is that it closes so early in the day. A morning place only.

Donut and Coffee is what the sign reads. Not sure where the Donutopia name came from, owner has been there for over five years. If you live or work out in sticks area of Poway this is a saving grace. Donuts are fine and the service is exceptional. They also offer coffee and boba.

The donuts and service here are outstanding! The cake donuts are perfectly crisp on the outside and amazingly moist on the inside. They have delicious cruellers and a great coffee selection. The owners love their customers and go out of their way to make you feel appreciated! Worth the drive to get these donuts!

This little known donut shop is not easy to find, but has some very adequate donuts, outstanding ham and swiss croissants(seriously…best in town), and excellent coffee(gavina). It’s the last thing in Poway on Twin Peaks before heading into Ramona. The owner, Tek is the nicest guy in the world and he works extremely hard to make great donuts.
