Avery Limo Broker

I wanted to give this a good review because the owner Erik seemed to be a super nice guy the first time I spoke to him. I paid my deposit and he sent me the pictures of the limo we were supposed to be picked up in. He emailed me my drivers phone number and let me know I should call him and confirm with him on pick up times and location. I called the driver who I believes name was Daniel on Tuesday, he told me he saw the info and he confirmed it was correct. Saturday I tried to call my driver again and he did not answer so I tried to call Erik’s phone 3 times and each time i got an auto text letting me know he was on the other line and would call me back. Our pick up time was 5:30 pm Saturday to get to a winery tour reservation at 6:30 pm for my best friends Bachelorette party. I called the driver 2 more times and on the second time he answered, I asked him where he was and he said he had no knowledge of my reservation and there was nothing from Erik about it. I let him know I spoke with him on Tuesday personally and he said he had all the info. He told me he would figure it out and give me a call back. A different driver called me back almost 30 min. later and said he would be there in 25 min. with a completely different limo that was nothing like the one I had agreed to. We were over an hour late to our tour and pretty much screwed up the rest of the nights plans because we missed reservations.

I try to find the positive or laugh off things normally, but I truly want to warn anybody so they don’t have to deal with this during a special occasion. Our driver was kind of rude, but that was not a deal breaker at all. We had an uneventful ride over to our destination. When we arrived we wanted to drive around a bit more until our reservation was ready, since it had just started sprinkling, and here is when it got crazy… Our driver was very put out, saying he had somewhere to be and he thought we just wanted a ride there and pick up. We had to explain that we paid for the hourly so we could drive around a bit and have some wine until we were dropped off. We did apologize for ruining his plans to be nice. He got moody and drove us around the same block as fast as he could, where we were sliding around and spilling all our wine. We were actually laughing in astonishment because it was so insane. Our pre-​party pics are all blurry as we could not even sit a little still! We were dropped off and had a wonderful time there. When he picked us up our wine had been moved around, our ice was used and there were red solo cups full of our drinks all around the car. We had left some things in there thinking it would be left alone, since we booked the entire five hours, but it was all moved around and riffled through. His shirt was not tucked in anymore and he drove even faster home. We were just holding on to stay upright. We did not touch our wine anymore, but when he dropped us off, he asked if we left all our garbage in the car, (we brought wine, a tiny cake, and purses, the glasses) when we commented that it was not our trash, he smiled and left. We contacted the owner and he was very defensive and questioned us to about what package we paid for (we were not asking for any money back as we did have a wonderful time and were able to laugh off the drivers attitude) we had just wanted to let him know what his driver was up to. We will never use this service again, and really hope this shoddy service does not ruin anybody’s special day.

Was visiting San Diego with my girls from texas. We did not realize our hotel was 25 miles away from the downtown gaslamp so we need to find transportation to and from. We called averys limos and had a driver in 2 hours for a reasonable price came out to a little under $ 20 a person which was perfect !
Even got free entry into the clubs downtown thanks again !

They are awesome!!! I use them for all of my events. I always get the best deals on whatever type of transportation I need. Never any issues and I’m a repeat customer multiple times over. I continuously use Avery Limo Broker multiple times over, and they never fail. Erik is extremely honest, and will always do whatever he can to ensure you have a great experience.
Reminder, Avery Limo Broker is a BROKER! I see reviews on here about them not having buses or limos of their own. ALB is a broker service that gets you amazing deals that you can’t get on your own! I’ve even tried calling other limo services to see their rates, and Avery Limo Broker always beats every price, and usually includes tip!
Overall, Avery Limo Broker provides 5-​star service in every category. I continuously get reminded each time I use them why I’m a repeat customer.

This review is written equally for BOTH PLTrans as well as Avery Limo Broker who sent us this nightmare service. Both companies were equally responsible for everything that went wrong, and the representatives from each company were equally unprofessional & unwilling to apologize or accept responsibility for ruining what was supposed to be an amazing time!
Everything that follows was my experience from August 2012, when neither company was on Unilocal.It’s been 3 years now and still to this day a painful memory.
I was planning a surprise wine tasting with several friends for my husbands 40^th birthday and began making all the arrangements 6 months in advance. I found Avery Limo Broker online and contacted them for a quote. All seemed well, we agreed on a Limo (a black stretch Cadillac or Lincoln), we agreed on a price, the time & location of pick up, destinations we’d be taken to (complete with addresses) and drop off time. We paid for 5 hours of service and I had every last detail planned perfectly.
At the last minute, Ashley from Avery Limo Broker didn’t ask my permission first, but instead mentioned that there would be a limo BUS picking us up. I asked her to please confirm, all of our correspondence (from March — August) stated we’d have a stretch, not a bus. She said the stretch wasn’t available, so I agreed to a limo bus, especially after seeing pictures of the beautiful limo buses pictured on their website. I did NOT agree to the ghetto-​bus we received!
The limo was supposed to arrive at 3:00 where our friends were going to hop in, then I’d surprise my husband with a nice limo and a night of wine tasting with our friends. But instead, my friends were left waiting for 45 minutes in the blazing sun, my husband now suspecting something’s going on because we’re all just sitting around waiting, no call from the company even though he had my number, and no answer when I called them. So much for the «surprise». That was ruined…
When the limo finally arrived, my heart sank. It was the TACKIEST bus I’d ever seen, the engine made a terrible grinding sound as it drove up the street, it had banner ad’s on all sides, and it was covered in brown water spots. The door opened and the bus just kept getting worse. there was rubber siding dangling off the door, you literally had to move it out of the way to step up into the bus. There was a fire extinguisher laying on the floor. There was no privacy screen — instead, there was a black sheet hanging from the ceiling that was faded, tattered on the sides, knotted at the bottom. The floor looked like it was made out of ply wood and had dirty shoe marks. There was trash on the back seats, and red solo cups with cigarette butts floating inside and burn holes going through them. There were hand and foot prints on the ceiling! THE CEILING! I was MORTIFIED! I had 13 friends who had all been patiently waiting to get to our wine tasting (that we had reservations for!) We were already 45 minutes late, every one of us would be consuming wine all evening which put NONE of us in a position to drive ourselves. The only choice I had at this point was to get on, or cancel the entire evening. We got on.
It just kept getting worse! The driver didn’t have the addresses or directions that I e-​mailed to BOTH companies, and gave verbally over the phone. He had no GPS. He drove right past the freeway entrance! Had to sit through 3 stop lights to make a U-​turn to get on the freeway! Did I mention we were already 45 minutes late? Did I mention I had reservations? The moron they sent showed up late, and then didn’t know where we were going. Two of my friends had to sit near the drivers seat to tell him where to get off the freeway, and every turn to make until we reached our destination. Does any of this sound remotely professional?
Our last destination was where we had wine tasting AND dinner reservations… we were late for everything and that winery closed at 8:00. We had the driver stop by the store on our way back, attempting to at least get the full 5 hours I paid for out of this horrible night. We were dropped back off 20 minutes before our time was up.
I contacted Ashely at Avery Limo Broker first thing the following morning, told her everything that was WRONG with our experience to which she took ZERO responsibility for and pawned my complaints over to Anthony at PLTrans. I have a lengthy transcript of back and forth e-​mails between myself and Erik Avery, all included Anthony but he never once responded. The only responses I received are from Erik, who said I could have made arrangements to look at the limo first (who does that?), and that I «chose» to accept the service by getting on the bus (as if I had another option?).
READ THE REVIEWS!!! PLTrans has 15 1-​star reviews, plus 14 more that are hidden. Avery Limo has 16 1-​star reviews, another 18 hidden. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! They robbed me of money, and they robbed me of what was supposed to be an amazing evening!

The rates were good, but communication was HORRIBLE. Thought he had limos himself but turns out he just calls around to find some. Well guess he couldn’t find any so he just ignored my calls, texts and emails. would not recommend this company. Went with another company that matched the price and was VERY happy with them.

UNRELIABLE. Not recommended for anyone. I booked a limo for our wedding and received confirmation. On the day of the event the driver never answered his phone and the limo never arrived. Wish I would have read more reviews as this seems to have happened other times. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Even more ironic is Avery’s email tag line which states, «There is only one boss. The customer. And he can fire everyone in the company from the chairman on down simply by spending his money somewhere else.» SPEND YOUR MONRY SOMEWHERE ELSE AND FIRE THEM.

Hired this company for a friend’s bachelorette party. They were 20 minutes late picking us up. This caused us to miss our reservations made downtown. When trying to speak with the management about this issue and our displeasure, ended up speaking to someone named Anthony, apparently the owner of the company. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. While still in the limo with the bride to be he was yelling loud enough over to the phone for everyone in the car to hear making what was supposed to be a fun experience even worse. There was no apology what so ever for the subpar service. Our plans and directions weren’t communicated to the driver ahead of time by the company booking agent, so when he arrived to pick us up, we had to map out our directions. This aside, Cleo, the driver was a gentleman and very kind. He is the only reason I am giving even 1 star for this service. No music, no cocktails… Do not hire this company! Not worth it, just hire an über.

Thanks for not picking up us after our wedding. Not having a car to get in for our sparkler exit was special. Then asking one of our guest to give us a ride was great. But the I don’t care attitude just made the whole experience with Avery, and personal luxury transportation bring me to this point,

Initially Erik responded quickly and friendly, helping us get a limo that fit our needs and budget. However, it never showed up. I called and texted — both means I had previously been able to contact him by — and was unable to contact him or the limo driver day of. But after Erik found out that his driver was a no show he contacted me and immediately refunded my deposit. He also attempted to contact his driver, and will be unlikely to use him again. All in all, Erik is a good broker, but BE SURE THE DRIVER CONTACTS YOU the day of your event.

Avery Limo Broker is just amazing. Erik is accommodating, even at a short notice. Prices are more than reasonable… you have several options to choose from such as a limo, party bus, or sedan. I used Avery Limo Broker to celebrate my sister’s birthday and everyone had a great time. The owner is also very knowledgable when it comes to San Diego, whether its downtown, La Jolla… and he recommends such awesome places whether you’re on a date or out with friends. This company provides the excellent customer service everyone is looking for… not just for parties, but you could rely on this company for a wedding, or pretty much any event. I am actually recommending this company to my parents who are reuniting with friends from 30 years ago! Thank you Erik for your hard work in providing us with our every need!

Was in San Diego for spring break with some friends, wanted to go downtown to the Gaslamp with some friends found a few limo companies avery was the first to get back with us within about 2 minutes he had the photos, price and even hooked us up with some club entry. All in all great service no complaints wish we had that in Texas.

I now understand why Avery Limo Broker is so highly recommended. I just got married a few weeks ago and needed a limo at the last minute in a tricky location. Needed to arrange transportation from San Diego up to Los Angeles for an LA Clippers game. Called Avery limo services, and they did a great job finding me cheap, effective & reliable transportation for my evening. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for limos or party buses. They take the hassle out of shopping around and do all the work for you

Avery Limo Broker has good customer service and great buses! They always ensure that you and your party have a good time, from the moment when you ask for a quote to the moment when you are dropped off at your destination.
I’ve used their services to celebrate my birthday for the past five years and they have never disappointed me. If you are debating which limo broker to use, I I highly suggest to use their services, they have great prices, good looking buses and awesome customer service!

My credit card company found him to be a scam artist as well. After I filed my complaint his response was some text messages between him and another of his victims. Needless to say, I won both the $ 155 and the $ 180 chargeback. Use him at your own peril.

I called Erik on Sat to demand my refund for his unreliable service and he hung up on me. He will tell you he will refund you but it’s just a lie to get you off his back. He’s an unethical business person.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but after over a month of haggling with the owner of this bus contracting he still hasn’t refunded is money for a bus we contracted out for our wedding. I know thing happen but own up to your mistake of contracting us out to a bogus transportation company. When you don’t receive the service you paid for you should get at the minimum an apology and a refund.
Be warned this guy may contract you with a bus service that doesn’t show up or deliver on what is contracted.
It was my wedding day sort of a big deal

This company has horrible customer service and are highly unprofessional!
The only way Erik communicates is by text.
The day of our event, the limo never arrived, we had to call the company to find out that they were NOT coming. I HAD TO MAKE THE CALL! I call and he texts back.
Our party (25 girls) had to take taxi’s to our destination, costing us hundreds of more dollars.
I will never use this company again and I do not recommend anyone else using Avery Limo.
