Established in 2006.

In 2005 we converted a 1700’s Main Street home into this charming Village restaurant… It features a Hershey’s Ice Cream Parlor indoor and outdoor seating for lunch and dinnner

Cute little restaurant. It was superb! Not very busy and had delicious food. Sat down right away, and excellent service got our drinks right away. Got our food in about 10 minutes after placing our order. The orders were perfect and had a party of 7. I would highly suggest going to the trolley stop if you want a nice little quaint restaurant that had excellent service and nice home like feel. Order the garlic fries they are to die for. I wanted to try the fried Oreo but was too full to try dessert. I ordered the trolley stop stuffed burger and boy was it good. Had such a good taste and was very filling.

Simply the best place to eat at in Poultney… I had their salsa and chips, quesadillas, burrito, and their salad and it is all so good. I wish they didn’t close for the winter because there is no other place in Poultney like this one!

Pretty good spot. Simple, but fresh and tasty. Tacos, burritos, nachos, etc. Reasonably priced, cash only. Very friendly staff, small operation with tons of indoor and outdoor seating.

I had lunch at the Trolley Stop today — at least my tenth meal since my original Unilocal post. It is truly one of the best establishments within Rutland County!

What a disgusting dump this was. I sat down and there were a bunch of flies everywhere, and it was so hot I was sweating like a pig. they had the «fan» on instead of the A.C. Fools.
The server came over and didn’t bother to even write down my order, and how shocking is it that she GOT IT WRONG! I asked for a rare bacon cheeseburger with mayo and they bring out a well-​done burger with nothing on it. Wonderful!
So while I’m sitting there trying to swat the multiple flies away, I eat my burger and notice it has a weird, gross taste. I take a closer look and realize they used ENGLISH MUFFINS for the bun (burnt ones at that)! YUK! It tasted NASTY!
What a HORRIBLE experience this place was. Unless you like marinating in your own juices with FLIES everywhere and AWFUL tasting food, avoid this place like a hammer to the eye!

Deliciously vegan-​friendly & great service. Ideal casual dining with convenient hours. DO NOT MISS the garlic fries, which they’ll make vegan upon request. We could eat those until we explode. House cole slaw is YUM, and mayo-​free. I also had a very tasty portobello salad.

A nice clean looking place, like a small Bistro, you don’t expect in Vermont and decorated very modern. A family owned restaurant with friendly service, very fair prices (the best in that area) and really good food served nicely. Friends toke us there and we would go back anytime. There is also a Ice Cream parlor in the same house (same owner).
