I was impressed with Joey B. in plumbing. Came in with a list for my husband to fix something and always get it wrong somehow. They called Joey for me so I didn’t have to go to the plumbing aisle to look for him which is very nice, he came right up took me over there took the list got everything I needed in no time. He did the shopping for me which was so nice didn’t have to look for anything took no time at all. When I got home we didn’t have to come back everything was perfect! Thank you Joey

What is it they say about Home Depot? «If you can build it, we can watch.» That pretty much sums up this place. Not enough staff around to ask, and when you do, they often don’t know anything. We’ll frequently not be able to find what we’re looking for because it’s not in stock. We often find ourselves going all the way to the Silverdale Lowe’s instead.

This review is for the services they contract with, not the physical store. I paid to have someone come out and measure to install new interior doors in my house. Firstly, the person was supposed to contact me to schedule the measure within a reasonable time frame. Two weeks later… He calls me at 8 pm to schedule. Weird time. Pretty late to be scheduling contracting work. Whatever. Tells me he will be there the following Monday from 9 – 10 am. I take off work to sit around spinning my wheels waiting for this fool to show up. Finally at 10:15 I call HIM and he tells me he needs to reschedule. Um. Nope. Uh-huh. We’re not rescheduling. It would’ve taken 5 minutes to call me last night(at 8 pm?) or this morning to tell me you would be unable to make it. Really glad I lost three hours worth of pay to wait for you. Luckily, Home Depot refunded my measure fee without complaint, hence my two star review.

This will be short. My spouse bought a floor model from them last February. He called Home Depot today who said he had to call the manufacturer. The manufacturer informed him this floor model was made in 2010. It is now 2015. He paid $ 2k. For a floor model that had been on the floor since 2010. Why do companies do this? It’s outright dishonest. I’m disappointed.

I had fantastic service from Mike in electrics today, and it wasn’t even for an electrical issue! I was looking for help swapping out an old 24 volt battery on my lawn mower and he came outside to my car and spent at least 45 minutes doing the job. He was so nice about it, and I can’t thank him enough, and if all the service people at this Home Depot are as good, we are lucky folks. He totally went beyond the call of duty, and if he thought I was an idiot for not being able to do it myself he kept it to himself. Thanks Mike!

Nice new Home Depot, was greeted upon walking in and given directions to where I needed to go. Saved me allot of time actually!

OMG — I can’t believe the poor service. They advertise carpet install within 72 hours. But now they tell me that their carpet installers are booked 2 and 3 weeks out. I remind them of their store advertising 72 hour install guarantee, and they say«but we are booked» and this is after I have already ordered the measure and have already paid 100% of the carpet job. My response, then take down your signs guaranteeing 72 hours if it is only good when you are not booked out. This particular install was such an important job and it was absolutely essential it get done within their guaranteed time frame. I wish they had been upfront about their scheduling process, because I would have booked measures with other carpet companies and not waited for Home Depot. I even double-checked before placing my order that they could get this job installed within 72 hours and they agreed. Not so. Stuck and don’t know what I’m going to do now. And they don’t do a very good job following up. I’ve had to chase them down via their phone system and it’s been pretty exhausting.

When it comes to service, I have to say this store constantly drops the ball for me every time, and I usually leave empty handed and VERY angry. Tonight was no exception. I seldom find an associate willing to help, ask if I need any, or even willing to fake friendly. The two playing and visiting near the door when I entered were still there an hour later when I left sans the hardware I desperately needed. My seething attitude and I drove into Silverdale where we were greeted and asked«can I help you» by no less than 6 friendly employees… don’t know why the scowl didn’t scare them all off, but they persisted until I left with my «stuff», a happier demeanor, and a really cool chiminea I hadn’t even known I wanted/needed until I discussed it with a nice staff member! Poulsbo Home Depot… never again. Silverdale Home Depot… you guys rock!

This is obviously a big box store, but still, it’s nice to go to one store for supplies instead of making several stops. This store is particularly nicely laid out and well stocked. The staff was pleasant enough when we went in to look for flooring and we are looking to install new flooring in an apartment. This is why we’re going elsewhere: they want us to pay them $ 50 to come and bid the job. If we hire them, it goes toward the cost of the job, but if we don’t, we loose the money! Now $ 50 is not alot of money, but when other companies will come and give a complimentary bid, why in the WORLD would I PAY them to come out. That’s like me asking a potential employer to give me money to come in for an interview! Other companies don’t charge to give a bid, so I guess it’s back to the drawing board for this consumer!!!

LEARNED A GOODLESSON. I’m a builder who’s used Home Depot for years. I’ve noticed their prices creeping up the last 3 years but value their having everything in one place. I went on-line Friday to check availability, saw they had my items, and drove 30 minutes to get them. The aisle guys are great… BUT they didn’t in fact have any available and when I checked with a wide open contractor desk BOB told me I shouldn’t have counted on the on-line being accurate and I should have(my mistake) called, had them check physically, and then pull my items to ensure them being there. I told him I would be out of business if I did that for everything I purchase for my jobs. no time. He said I must have a problem. Never in 30 years have I heard that from a store! I reported it and left. LESSON: My local lumberyard had the ladder-jacks I needed, the soffitt screening I needed, and both of the items were SUBSTANTIALLYCHEAPER than Home Depot. REALLY! While H.D. has many varieties of the same item, my lumberyard has one or two that actually work and can sell them for less. I will always try locally first now… Thanks BOB

It’s Home Depot. It’s a national chain of big-box hardware stores. This particular HD store was pretty nice to walk around. Staff were helpful and quick to help us find what we needed. Among other things, we needed PVC pipes and the staff who took care of us did a great job cutting them down into manageable lengths.

This is actually one of the best HD locations I’ve shopped at. They keep the store in really good shape and the employees are happy to help which is quite refreshing compared to other locations I’ve been to. It is also nice that they are close by for me.

Home Depot just like all HDs. Good garden section year round, and the staff is more helpful than other HDs I have been to.

It’s Home Depot, so really no change from any of the other HD stores; pretty clean place, for a construction store, employing nice uninformed people. I will say that they had a wider selection than usual on building materials. My HD golden rule: If you know what you need and what you’re looking for… HD is the right place, for the right price. However, if you require assistance, go elsewhere or bring someone with knowledge.
