Cups Espresso

After trying all of the other coffee shops in our new town, Cups is our go-​to. The baristas are friendly, the prices are fair, and the coffee is great. Love, love, love the blackberry mocha. So tasty.

They make the best coffee!!! And their baked goods are amazing. Their shop is always clean and inviting.

Family owned. Great coffee from café Umbria. Brand new espresso machine. I didn’t get to try any of the food. But I wish I would have. I want to try their breakfast burritos.

Poulsbo gobbler was great. Sandwich was fresh and chilled but the bacon was hot and freshly cooked. Wait was a little long, but nice little place.

Cups is a great space nestled amongst the shops at the marina. I had the gluten free veggie breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. Their ice cream also got good reviews at our table. Tiny inside, especially when busy, but ample seating just outside… great for sunny days. The girls working the counter that day were excellent; I’d definitely go back when I’m around Poulsbo.

Cute little hole-​in-​the-​wall coffee house and ice cream parlor. This place serves up a crazily craveable espresso explosion milkshake that will make you think you’ve died and gone to dessert-​drink heaven. Kind of pricey, but well worth it. The staff is usually friendly, and they support local artists by displaying and selling some beautiful artwork. You’ll come back for more.

Had a wrap and coffee. Very good! Small but warm venue. Warm and friendly staff. Good variety of sandwiches, coffee and ice cream. Highly recommend!

I had the BLT wrap and it tasted home made! Very impressed with what could have been (and usually ends up being) a bland, dry, wrap with chewy bacon. Not this wrap. This wrap was fresh and full of flavor! Usually I avoid wraps due to certain dry mouth, but very glad I gave this one a try. Nice little spot with a couple outside tables to enjoy Poulsbo!

Most delicious chai almond latte and red pepper tomato soup. Staff was very accommodating to dietary concerns. Gluten free options.

Being a Starbucks regular, I get a little indecisive and a wee bit curious when I get coffee at a new place, thus making me bombard baristas with a bunch of questions on my first visits. The barista on my first visit to Cups was friendly, helpful, and patient despite my endless stream of inquiries regarding the drinks they specialized in, drink recommendations, or any drinks and specials they had for the day. I felt a little bad for holding up the line but I wanted to make sure I was getting something adventurous but also safe, which for me would be a 7:3 ratio of comfortability and risk. I had heard from a friend that they made mean macchiatos here so after careful consideration, I ended up getting a caramel macchiato which actually happens to be one of my go-​to drinks. so not much risk there lol.
My drink ended up not being as sweet as I wanted it to be and when I informed the barista of this after being asked how I was liking my drink, the barista offered the whole bottle of caramel syrup to use to my satisfaction. I’ve never been given that kind of sweet, sugary freedom anywhere before. I had an «I’ve got the power» moment the second I held that bottle full of gooey caramel goodness. That one special service made my first experience at Cups unique and incomparable to my seemingly mundane and automated visits at Starbucks. I don’t know if that was a one-​time thing (hopefully not lol) but I’ll definitely be back to try their other drinks and food!

The last two times I’ve popped by for an impromptu lunch, they have had their Egg Salad on special and I have been happy to order it. The egg salad mix by itself is delicious, and then they go adding bacon and avocado and your brain explodes with happiness. When you’re feeling healthy, it comes with a delicious green salad. When you’re feeling decadent, crunchy chips are available. Both were delicious.

This small coffee shop had a friendly, welcoming barista and an excellent latte with just the right amount of Crema and a good bold taste without associated bitterness. A strawberry muffin was fresh out of the oven and quite tasty. Haven’t tried them yet but blackberry oatmeal bar and pecan pie bar sounded good as well. We have tried two other coffee shops in Poulsbo And this one was by far the best.

This is now my favorite coffee shop in Poulsbo. I’m still a regular, even though I now live on Bainbridge. Great food options that are fresh and made to order. Baristas (and owner) are super friendly. Good, reliable wi-​fi.

I ordered a 20oz Iced Latte yesterday which is my usual drink order at every coffee shop. The barista turned around and produced my latte in less than 20 seconds, which was very unusual and concerning to me. I asked her about it, and she said they poured my espresso shots from a bottle in the fridge! That’s completely unacceptable for a drink that cost almost $ 4!
I asked if I had ordered it freshly made if they’d do that, and they said yes, but didn’t ask me if I’d like it freshly made. I had to ask again explicitly to have them remake it.
After all that rigamarole, the latte was quite good which is why they get 2 stars. Serving stale old chilled espresso shots out of a bottle is just really bad way to treat your customers, and then not offering to make it right is just bad customer service.

So disappointed. Used to go here prob 3x a week. Will never go here again. It’s 80 degrees and I went in to buy a large ice water. Im also clearly huge and pregnant. Handed them my debit card (was out walking so that’s all I had) and they TURNED ME AWAY because they can’t (won’t) ring for under $ 3.00. I said «it’s 80 out and I’m pregnant are you sure you can’t?» They wouldn’t. So I went to Hot Shots next door and they were overwhelming w customer service. SHAME ON YOU CUPS!

Best BLT I’ve had in awhile, super friendly service. Very kid friendly with the outdoor seating. Great spot for a quick bite.

I adore this place! We always come here to get coffee after pastries at Sluys. They have almond syrup!!! All time favorite– vanilla almond cappuccino. Amazing espresso drinks!

I stumbled into this shop while walking around the mean streets of Poulsbo last time I was in Washington. If it weren’t for their small chalk sign put up on the street, I might have missed it all together.
It’s a small operation with some seating inside and out. They also had free wi-​fi if you wanted to get a little work done or watch cat videos on your iPad.
The baristas were super friendly and I ordered my soy, dirty chai latte.
Now, they pull their own shots here– just the way I like it. The chai wasn’t so powerful that you couldn’t taste the delicious shots (yes, two) of espresso. It was smooth and rich and I think I sucked that thing down in two gulps. They used vanilla chai, which I really like when available. Again, the vanilla wasn’t too sweet.
Super inexpensive. I got a medium size + a tip and it was only around $ 5.
Because there were two pulled shots, I was tweaked out for the rest of the day. That’s how I know I’ve had a good cup of coffee! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

I really liked this café. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The coffee was great and the food looked delicious! I ordered an expresso with steamed milk. Great flavor. They also serve ice cream! I will be back!

Espresso Explosion ice cream is one of the things i have to get when i come home to visit! A little pricey, but totally worth it.
