Solid restaurant when it comes to the food. The pasta is dependable. Sometimes the dishes take a while in the dining room, but it’s worth it. Once a week they offer five dollar pizzas. These pizzas are plain cheese and pretty good. Sometimes it’s a miss, and the crust is thin and gross, but most of the time it’s pretty good. Definitely worth a visit.

Please, save yourself your time and money and find another place to eat. I was in the area on business with 3 of my colleagues, we saw the good reviews on Unilocal and figured we’d give it a try. It was a Tuesday night, and the dining area was almost empty. The waitress walked us all around the dining area before finally seating us. It was clear, she must be new from the beginning. It wound up taking over an hour to get our food. When it finally came we were all extremely disappointed. One of the guys ordered a NY Strip medium rare and instead got a steak well done, stating it was the worst he’s ever ate. No one finished their plates as the food was bland and my veal parmesan seemed as though it had been sitting there for the hour it took for us to get the food. When the check came, the waitress was hovering over us as if she was waiting to see how much her tip would be. This was rude and uncomfortable. All in all, if you want a good meal, please keep searching. You won’t find it here.

Nice little Italian bar/restaurant in Poughkeepsie near the water front. It’s a nice little casual location in the bar/restaurant strip as you enter downtown. It has a nice menu with some of the traditional Italian American dishes we all know and love. The dining room is quaint and casual a very nice atmosphere for conversation and a relaxing dinner. Overall the food was good and offerings a fair price, in the Hudson Valley the cuisine is so good that it’s a tough market to compete in and I would say that this was a good spot and definitely worth a spot in the rotation. They have a fairly popular ‘adult’ bar scene in an otherwise college oriented city. Also have a nice take out section with slices(something any good pizza takeout spot should have!), I recommend judging it by the classic cheese slice(as they look should be judged!). I give them a good rating, for a nice casual vibe for a good meal, and I recommend you try them if you are looking for a nice conversational spot for a date or dinner with friends.

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here on 5÷6÷16. The service was great and our guests loved the pre-fixed menu. The owner even came around and introduced himself to us and thanked us for our service. We truly appreciate every thing that was done for us. Thank you! Lauren and Jonathan Olmo

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Dutchess County ! Chef Joel is very personable and the bartenders certainly know how to read their customers! I always have a fun time when I dine there. Highly recommended

Decided to hit up this Italian restaurant on a friends suggestion when we were visiting family in the area. For an upstate small city restaurant they have serious big city food… We were seated immediately, even though we were late by 30 minutes for our reservation of 9. Promptly got our drink orders and brought us the most yummy garlic knots and bread. The Olive oil dip was wonderful, whoever herb concoction they use is perfect. Ordered off both the regular menu and the specials menu. All the food was awesome, my kids pizzas were the perfect size and had some great toppings. We were checked on many times, he even say a talked for awhile, by Chef and owner Joel. Overall it was an excellent experience and we had an amazing dinner at Amici’s last night. Thanks guys and we will send more business your way! The Dane Family…

The food is just terrible. My mussels and crab bucatini smelled like it came out of the toilet and didn’t taste much better. I’ll consider myself lucky if I don’t end up with food poisoning. The garlic knots and pizza chunks they serve at the start are almost certainly the stuff that didn’t sell during the lunch hour. I’m sure they could probably whip up a decent chicken parm or something but don’t get adventurous with this menu. The service was fine.

The only place I will go for pizza in the HV. Upstairs you can watch them make your pizza from scratch. Downstairs has a sports bar where you can enjoy your pizza. As well as billiards and regular sit down tables. The Margherita(if I’m spelling it right) and the sausage pizzas are the best.

We ate here after a Walkway Over The Hudson Bridge. The place is warm and cozy after a brisk walk over the bridge. The food is fantastic and is priced fairly. Great place to take the family. Try the Fried Gorgon zola stuffed olives with vermouth. Plenty of artisan bread served with your meal along with garlic knots and a tasty olive oil dip. BonAppetit.

Stopped here on a Sunday on our way back home after walking on the Walkway over the Hudson Bridge. It was pretty chilly out. The dining room was empty when we were seated. We sat at the corner window facing the Mid-Hudson Bridge. It got dark about 15 min after we got there. The room was a bit cold. I ordered a glass of Shiraz which was a bit tart for my taste. I drank it slo-o-o-wly. We had an appetizer and each ordered pizza. My husband got the Margherita while I went for the non-conventional shrimp and garlic scampi pizza. It was delicious! They give you a whole pie that is meant to be cut into 8 slices, cut into 4 big slices instead. I actually ate 2 big ones and took the other half home. The most entertaining part of our evening was a drunk guy that stumbled out from the place across the street and started waving at us. He couldn’t stand straight and kept falling all over the place. I thought he was funny so I waved back at him! My husband said that I shouldn’t engage because he was going to come over to talk to us and I said no he isn’t! Well, he started walking towards us waving and the street is uphill so he could come right up close to our window. I was like, oh no, he’s really coming over! Lol. He ended up walking by so we were waiting to see if he was going to enter the restaurant but he never did. Wheew! :) For dessert, we got the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. I’m not a fan of chocolate unless it’s warm, gooey and brownie like so I only had a spoonful from the middle part with a bit of ice cream. My husband devoured the remaining portion. On our way out most tables had filled with families.

New renovations made a great place even better. Now they have a deli station and open bar. Chef & Owner(he who shall not be named) has delivered his winter menu with winter warm flavors while remaining in his Italian roots.

This place, I might guess, thrives on being a pizza place near the train station. Otherwise, I don’t know why someone would want to eat the pizza. I had a sicilian slice because I was famished before boarding the train and it tasted like… nothing. Seriously, it had no flavor. It was kind of like eating white bread through and through. I will say at the restaurant itself looked nice and the staff were friendly. But the pizza isn’t worth the money or time. Unless you need to eat something, just skip over this place.

Good food! Service was a bit slow the night I was there — might’ve been because they were short-staffed that evening — took about 30 mins for our calamari appetizer to arrive. The calamari was very good too! I had the sliced steak Marsala — VERY good!

I have no hesitation giving this place 5 stars. Having been here several times over the last few years of living in the area, this has become our(myself and the wife) favorite local spot for a solid Italian meal. When we want a casual, affordable, and guaranteed to leave us satisfied dinner, we come here. Of course I have to preface that my wife is a vegetarian, so Italian restaurants in general are typically her favorite as they can accommodate quite well with several of their pasta dishes, but she will literally crave their pumpkin ravioli — and once that craving hits, I need not fight it. Tonight I was feeling a simple chicken parm. They brought me a huge dish that even a fat guy like me couldn’t finish. I gladly took the rest home to save for the weekend. Their lasagna is fantastic and if you’re feeling ambitious, try the«Bridge Music Parm» a combo of veal parm, chicken parm, and eggplant parm with ham and mozz. I haven’t had anything there that I disliked so far, so give an old traditional favorite a try or go with something new and different. Service is always great and the waiter helped us find an app that we used to like but lost on the menu due to renaming of it. Parking is all street essentially, and if there’s none available there are municipal lots around the corner(metro north is adjacent to the restaurant). Grab a seat by the window for a beautiful view of the Mid Hudson bridge and enjoy a great meal

I love this place! Bartenders are awesome, food is amazing especially the pizza and disco fries! Crowd is also great especially when you want to get away from the mahoneys bar scene.

This place was suggested by my husband’s co worker. Seeing the reviews from Unilocal,we decided to make it a date night after going to Walkway On the Hudson. Thankfully, my husband made reservations for 7pm because we would’ve probably had to wait 45 mins+ before getting seated. We waited about 10 mins for them to clear out a table and we were seated right away. This is where the restaurant lost some stars… We sat down and were brought it water/bread a few minutes after being seated. She was clearly the support staff for the waiters. We look over our menu and decided what we wanted… this is where the wait began. A waitresses walked past us a couple of times and didn’t come to greet us(now we’re assuming she’s not even out waitress). A table of two is seated behind us, 10 minutes after we were seated and they were greeted by the same waitress that walked past us. After about 15 minutes of NOBODY greeting us, I finally called over the busboy and asked him if he knew who our waiter was. He apologized and went to look for our waiter. At this point, the waitress that walked pasted us in the first place turned around and apologized that no one came to us and immediately took our orders. The busboy ended up telling the hostess in front(very apologetic and nice) about our situation and she came over 5 minutes later to apologize. Apparently, our waitress recently got foot surgery and was found in the bathroom crying for the past 20 minutes and I guess NOONE that was being served by her had complained about not seeing her for the past 20 mins. The hostess apologized over and over again and acknowledged that we got our food order in. The busboy came back, even though he was busy, to double check to make sure everything was ok(kudos to you!). Our now waitress Becky brought out our food and apologized again for the wait which we appreciated. The food was great. I had the linguine with lobster and cabanera which was delicious. The sauce wasn’t too heavy or too thick and a decent amount of lobster(claw) meat was thrown in. We didn’t order appetizers because the bread basket they provide was filling enough. The restaurant was big. Downstairs had a party going on so we were unable to see what it looked like, but the place is convenient for take out or dine in. Tables are fairly close together and space for the waiters and busboy to maneuver around was tight, but they were talented enough to not run into each other I can’t say whether or not I’ll come back to this place. Although far from me and we were here visiting, our initial impression was obviously not a great one and the food wasn’t SO spectacular to take the hour and a half drive. If I was local, I would come back at a less busy day(and when there isn’t a party going on) to enjoy my meal and walk by the waterfront. I would’ve given this restaurant four stars if we were acknowledge when we sat down. The food really was good and having the staff apologize helped repair the damage the waitress with a foot injury had done.

If it’s good Italian food you want, then this is the place to go. Joel the owner has been there every time I’ve taken my family to dinner. He takes great care of every customer as well as directing a wonderful staff. Try the Sunday sauce, you’ll love it.

First time visit… late lunch after walk on Walkway Over The Hudson. We ordered mozzarella sticks: crispy on outside, creamy on inside… Veal Parm and Chicken Saltimbocca –both delicious, big portions! Bread basket had yummy focaccia, and garlic knots. Will definitely return! Mmmm!

Came here for an early birthday dinner with my parents, sister and her boyfriend and had a great experience! Pros: –Our waiter, Luke, he was awesome. Friendly and attentive. Great service. –Bread and oil brought out to the table right away(YUM) –Drinks brought out right away and refilled regularly throughout the meal –Tomato & mozz app with fresh basil, EVOO and balsamic. DELISH! –I had the Penne Amici’s(without sausage) and it was really good. –My dad had the pumpkin ravioli and that was great too –Mom loved her salmon dish –Sister’s boyfriend had the pasta rustica which I tried a bite of — again, great. –DESSERTOMG. We split 3 for the table — the apple tart, dream bomba(I die for anything with PB in it) and cheesecake. All SOYUM! Cons: –My sister’s rigatoni vodka was a bit too salty. May have been from the chunked prosciutto in the sauce –Teeny flies all around. eek! All in all a great experience and delicious food. I will definitely be back!
