Poco Loco Paintball

Poco Loco is amazing. I took my 15yr old son and 10 of his classmates there for his birthday and they had an awesome time. The entire experience was great from the owner greeting us on the way in to the staff and the game referees who were the best! The obstacles courses are freaking amazing. The whole set up and organization of game play was all in check. Great outdoor facility. All levels from newbies to around the clock players. Can’t wait to go back! The owner gave us gift cards for our return.

Poco Loco is a great place. The people there were great. And the fields of battle were awesome. I would recommend this place to everyone. GREAT GREAT PLACE.

Great experience. Jeff the owner was fantastic, he saved my daughters birthday party. Thornton paintball where our party was originally scheduled canceled us at the last minute 7pm night before due to field conditions even though they said we can play rain or shine. This was a huge problem I called Poco Loco at 8 o’clock that evening and the owner answer the phone and quickly accommodated us. When we arrived at the facility we could not have been taken care of any better they were attentive to every need my daughters birthday party went off with a great success. After talking to many people they clearly said Poco Loco was far superior than the other places in the area. I would gladly go back and in fact I’m planning on it.

well my for my first visit there it was a great experience. they sell diferent types of ammo that you wouldnt usually fund in alot of other places. the sell smoke grenades and paint grenades. they detonate on impact not on a timer. fyi.
Cost is really reasonable, but when it coems to replinshing your paintball ammo. it can get exspensive. non memebrs i believe its $ 22.00 for 500 for non members. if you become a member you get special perks that gives you major discounts when it comes to ammo, gear, and weapon upgrades.
i went with my team and we had a blast. definitly becomming a member. the fields are clean and well maintained. the upkeep on this place really impressed me.
my favorite part is the CQC (Close Quarters Combat). they give your 4 mag clips and you load them, then you turn 2 clips over to the refs and the hand you a hand gun. pretty powerful kicks out about 270 psi. 7 rounds per clip, and each game your allowed 14 rounds, 1 (ex)clip.
bottom line one hell of a good time. definitly suggest bringing alot of people, the more people the better the experience.

I play here whenever I’m able with C3 Airsoft. The staff is professional the field is clean and well taken care of. Prices are extremely reasonable and a small pro shop has the amenities you would want. The field itself is great lots of different terrain a good mix of man made structure and natural fortifications

Brought 20 of my employees and had a great time. Staff was friendly and made sure there was fun had by all.

Tourist Trap
I’ve been doing paintball for several years now and this place is not a great place to go. I have been there once before and I figured I would give it the benefit of the doubt and give it another go since my first trip was crappy too. Anyway, went there this past weekend and I will not be returning. I’ll list out the pros/​cons below but overall, it was extremely rocky (one map is affectionately called, «the ankle breaker»), as expensive as skirmish, and they are very slow.
Pros:
* «The Great Escape» — They have a really cool feature called the great escape where you get to shoot it out with paintball pistols. So that was neat. You get to do two rounds in there or until you run out of ammo (you get 4x clips of 7 rounds).
* Well organized
* FPS is enforced
Cons:
* Expensive paint ($ 80 per case of paint)
* Expensive field pass (even if you bring your own gear)
* Have to pay for compressed air fills (and CO2 fills but that’s typical)
* Reservations required
* Heavy focus on pushing «upgrade» packages for renters
* Rocky fields (really dangerous)
* No speed ball
* Slow to get games going
* Sponsored teams get special treatment (noticed that there were a bunch of players who were also refs so they were allowed to do whatever they want)
Other Notes:
* No ramping allowed… semi-​auto only and it is enforced so keep that in mind. I don’t think that’s really a pro or con… just something to think about. Unless you are on their sponsored team… then you can do whatever you want.
So overall… go elsewhere. LVP South is not very far and way better. Or if you’re up for a drive, head to Skirmish.

First time paintballer. I organized the outing as part of a bachelor party. There were only 6 of us, and since another group of 15 had cancelled we ended up with the whole place to ourselves. I imagine this is a unique situation, and I’m not sure how it would compare to a busy day, but it was a ton of fun!
Most of us were novices and, frankly, on the geekier side of the spectrum. I could usually care less about shooting things or getting shot at. But we all really got into it at Poco Loco. The various scenes and scenarios definitely added to the fun. The plot of land they have (for over 20 years) seems perfect for paintball. Lots of diversity and mixed challenges. Because we were such a small group, they just had 2 guys running the show and they were both great. Fun to work with and not cocky or disparaging towards newbies. The ref was helpful and professional, but also friendly.
It’s been a month since we did it and I still have bruises at various stages of healing. But, seriously, it was totally worth it.

A group of 4 of us (Caroline, myself, and our two boyfriends) spent the day here playing paintball on one of their discount days ($ 20 entry/​$ 20 for 500 paintballs).
After check in, we were all given a 10 minute orientation with the basic rules, the upgrades available, and the liability wavers. As Brian said, the staging area seems quite small; pretty much all the tables were taken by the time we got there (we had the latest check in time).
After you fill out the waivers, one of the employees will call your group up to the window to get your gear. Our goggles and gun were included but you could upgrade to a better gun (for an extra $ 20), rent camo ($ 8), or buy different forms of protection so the sting of the paintballs wouldn’t hurt so bad (chest protectors, knee pads, etc).
Each group was divided into teams, and given arm bands of their team color to easily recognize friend or foe while on the field. We played 2 games on each field we visited (totaling about 8 games altogether), but had to hike to and from the original staging area between each game (unless the field was further along the path, then you got to wait in the netted area by your field).
Most of the employees were pretty cool; we got to talking with one of our ref’s Adam who was very social and cool.
All in all, it’s a pretty fun way to spend the day, just be prepared to hike most of the day and possibly gain a battle wound or two!

First a disclaimer. I’m not really into paintball, so I’m not up on the fine points of what constitutes a great paintball facility.
Poco Loco is located near Limerick PA. It has maybe 9 – 10 different settings that they use for play. Many are hilly and or rocky and most are dotted with rudimentary huts and walls. Some of the areas seemed cramped, others quite large.
The staging area is small and it seemed to me, a novice, a bit disorganized. The folks playing there ranged from ultra-​enthusiast to novice, sometimes grouped together, sometimes grouped by «skill» level.
In all, it’s nearby to Philadelphia and the burbs and a fun way to spend a Fall afternoon.
