So, I’m flying from Potsdam(well, as close as I can get, anyway) and going to LA in the winter. I have a deadline. My tickets are booked with the group’s, because this is a big thing organized by the school. The day I’m supposed to leave, my airport gets snowed out. I call the office, and get nothing. I email the office, and explain what’s happening. The response? No kidding: «I’m not coming in to the office today. Here’s the number for your airline. You should call them as soon as possible.» Don’t. Just don’t.

Well, I don’t give many one star reviews, but I really didn’t like this place. I used them once last year, and the travel package that I got was misleading and over-priced. First off… Traveling from Potsdam, NY is a chore, to begin with. Usually this involves taking a bus to some other place that has an airport. This travel agency does not do bus tickets, and the annoying part is that the travel agent didn’t explicitly say that. I thought I was getting a competitive deal from this place. The plane tickets were about $ 50 more than those from Expedia, add in another $ 40 for the bus ticket(which I thought was included in the price quoted to me). When I called the travel agent to ask her when I’d be getting my bus ticket, she wasn’t overly rude or anything, but she wasn’t helpful. She didn’t offer me anything, and she didn’t seem sympathetic. They also use a pretty sketchy looking website to deal with online ticketing. I don’t mind supporting local businesses, and paying a little bit extra for some things. Shame on me for not asking if the bus ticket was included in something that seemed like a package, shame on her for misleading me.
