I was born and raised in Annandale, Virginia and grew up in the real estate business. My father was a real estate investor, buying foreclosure properties, fixing them up, and re-​selling them for profit. When I was a child, my father took me throughout Northern Virginia to look at the different homes for market evaluation, and I observed countless open houses, contract negotiations, and settlements. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business from Mary Washington College, I worked for a multi-​family real estate lender. During this time, I began to purchase my own investment properties. Becoming a realtor was just a natural extension of being a real estate investor: I use the skills I learned from my father and my marketing background to help buyers and sellers achieve their goals. I now live in Potomac, Maryland. As a native of Virginia and resident of Maryland, I have extensive knowledge of the DC metropolitan area, and do equal business in both states and DC.

We first contacted Dawn in November, 2015 about selling our home in Centreville, VA. We were unsure when to sell and what needed to be done to prepare the home for sale. Dawn responded immediately and gave us detailed options and recommendations. She even found us a contractor for one of the renovations after we had been unable to find one. Dawn arranged several events at the house and closely managed the sales process. Following Dawn’s guidance we sold the home very quickly and well above our asking price.
Dawn made us feel very comfortable and we always knew exactly where we were in the process and the next steps. In summary, Dawn was exceedingly pleasant, responsive, and effective. She sold our home quickly and got us a terrific price.

This is the fifth home I’ve purchased or sold in the FL and DC market over the past two decades. Recently I returned to the DC Metro region and needed an agency team who could work in both MD and VA. As first time home buyers, we were very out of our depth when it came to pretty much everything. We had a tight budget and were looking for a reno project, so the search was tough. Dawn listened to our needs, structured her search around those, and was always extremely professional and went above and beyond to ensure we found a house we wanted and closed for a great deal! Could not have been happier about working with her.
Dawn immediately put us at ease, explained everything in a way that first home buyers need, and in the beginning sat down with us and outlined the process, what to expect, when we would owe money, and a general timeline of how things usually go in the process. This was SO HELPFUL! She gave us a printout and provided so much information about the types of properties that would be worth our time, and which ones would be a waste of time and money.
Dawn also has the patience of a saint. A lot of the places we wanted to look at would have been completely ripped down to the studs renovation-​type projects, and not only did she show us all the properties we asked to see, she also provided very wise advise about the scope of work and whether or not it would be a worthwhile investment. We always knew that the advice she offered was honest and backed by years of experience.
We now have a wonderful house and couldn’t be happier :)

Dawn was aggressive and knowledgable when putting a contract on a house. When my husband and I were buying the housing inventory was low and housing prices were going for way over asking price. Working with Dawn and Kris was great. Since we were first time buyers, at our initial meeting, Dawn walked us through the entire process. When we started our search, it was difficult because we were searching in a highly competitive area where homes sell for over asking. Even when we discouraged, Dawn kept us going and helped us see the value in different properties and really provided solid advice where some others fell short of what we were wanting. Kris was with us the day we found the home that we purchased. He was patient with us when we wanted to go back and forth between two properties on which we were to decide. He was also with us during inspection and final walk through and provided calming input and guidance. During our walk through, even though we would never have asked, he even volunteered to entertain our precocious 3 year old son!
Dawn has extensive knowledge and can provide expert advice on the local area, easy home fixes, and what items can be potentially be big ticket repairs. We won’t hesitate to use them again when we are ready to search for our next property.

Since this was my first home purchase you can guess I was all over the board with my wants, «needs» and price range even. Dawn found many, many homes for me to look at. She went out of her way, all times of the day, any day, you name it, she was right there with me to look at places.
She was SO patient with me! I even met with Kris at one place, and he was so accommodating with my first home search.
Dawn gave me her opinions, and thoughts (very professionally, of course) on each and every place. I could NEVER have bought my first home with out her. ALSO, must be noted, that It is VERY difficult for me to make tough decisions and with out local family for help, I relied almost COMPLETELY on Dawn’s knowledge and opinions.

Working with Dawn was the best decision we made in our home buying process. Despite looking at a ton of houses in the downtown Silver Spring area, Dawn was extremely patient, helpful and offered her honest opinion on whether each house was worth it or not (we were looking for a fixer upper). Dawn sold me my first house and I could not have been more pleased. She was patient, knowledgeable, understanding, flexible, and always courteous! She would come out any day or night to show a house, provide explanations and information if needed, and was always willing to go the extra mile.
Dawn actually sold that same house for me a few years later, and even though we were selling in the winter months, Dawn got us a price that was better than what we had bought it for, so we were very pleased.
