Went here for the first time last night(Saturday night) to meet a friend for drinks. Large parking lot so parking was great. I was starving so I ordered a Club Wrap. I wasn’t expecting much to be honest but when it got to the table, it was HUGE! I could only eat half of it. It was loaded with turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce and tomato. I was quite impressed. The crowd wasn’t TOO big which was fine with me but everyone was very friendly. Lots of TV’s with sports on and a nice pool table area. It was clean and up to date. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The female bartender was amazing! Really sweet personality and very efficient. The drinks probably could’ve been a TAD stronger for my taste but weren’t bad either. I didn’t pay the bill so I’m not sure how much drinks were but my friend who frequents this place made mention of how reasonable the prices were. There was a female DJ who played great music and was REALLY awesome to talk to. She played pretty much anything you asked for and interacted with the crowd the entire time. I will definitely go back. I had a great time.

I stopped in here for take out food and was not overly enthused by the ambience when I walked in. No one greeted me so I figured I should step up to the bar to claim my takeout. It seems as though there are a bunch of redneck hicks that frequent this establishment, and the people behind the bar like to gab and gossip with them. That’s fine by me. I get along with all types. I’m simply wondering why the staff is not more friendly.

Two of these reviews are referring to Griffs downtown. Not midtown which this place is. Staffs great. Food is good.

Food is decently priced but pretty good for bar food can’t beat the price of drinks during happy hr.

Yeah– no. I came here after being at Baron’s. It was about midnight. You would think by that time the place would be bumpin! No. It wasn’t. It’s just the next stop on High Street. Thankfully, I live right down the street so I enjoy bar hopping in this area. It was a place with nice tables, a big bar, and no people. Me and some friends sat down at the table and ordered some drinks. The beers were fairly priced, so I can’t complain about that. The waitress we had wasn’t my favorite. I’ll leave it at that. All in all, it’s a dull, slow, boring place with sub par staff.

This place has gone all to pieces. Surprised they haven’t folded up yet. No one goes there anymore. Prices are way to high, no entertainment and food sucks.

I haven’t been here for dinner, but my boyfriend and I go to this place nearly every Sunday morning for breakfast. Their french toast is to die for. The waitresses are super friendly and attentive. We both leave stuffed, satisfied and all for about $ 15. Not crowded, delicious food, and super cheap. Beats nearby breakfast hotspot Brutti’s by a mile!

This bar/restaurant is located in Portsmouth. It is a very big restaurant for the area and has a nice dining area, bar and outside smoking area. I have been in on a Friday night before and the place is very popular and gets pretty crowded at times. They had live music the night I went so maybe that’s what brought in the big crowd. They usually have at least two bartenders working so you can get a drink pretty quickly here. I did have a friend that went in for lunch one day, said there was no one really in the restaurant and the service was still slow. Personally, I have not eaten at Griffs yet just been in for drinks. They have really done a great job with this place so far.
