Wine and Canvas

Quinn and Kyle have a great team of artists that will turn any uncreative individual like myself into the next Picasso. The paintings make great gifts for friends and family members. You can never have too many.

This is such a fun activity to do that can aid as a de-​stressor. Wine and Canvas is really awesome for group outings, dates, and catching up with family or friends. Your experience is totally up to you– you can mingle and meet people or you can just stick to your company.
Contrary to popular belief, you do NOT need to be adept as an artist or painter of any kind. These classes are meant for all levels and are very beginner friendly. There’s music, guided instruction, and someone walking around to assist when you need it.
Kyle and Quinn are FANTASTIC instructors.

I had a BLAST at Wine and Canvas! I am not what I would call a super artistic person so when my girlfriends wanted to do this, I was a little on the fence. But I was surprised at how awesome and fun the night ended up being and the artist did an awesome job walking us through the steps to the paining and there were even people who came by and offered us one on one assistance during the show (and trust me, I needed it). We had such a great time we even went back and did it again at another location so it’s also a great way to try new restaurants (the shows are all over town so it was pretty easy to find one that had a painting we liked AND at a restaurant we wanted to try). I wasn’t sure about the price (I think it was $ 35) but after I left I felt like it was so worth it for all the supplies and assistance you get.
Would definitely recommend this as a fun way to hang with your girlfriends or could be a really fun date, too! I’m sure we’ll be back again!

I am by no means an artist, but my friends and I decided to give this a shot. For $ 35, you get to attend an instructor-​led painting class with all of your supplies provided (brushes, paints, canvas) – that’s a steal! They release their calendar on the 20^th of each month (I waited until I saw a painting I loved that worked with my schedule), and it seems like classes fill up pretty quickly. I’m glad I noticed that when I first checked out their website, so I could get all four of us in the same class.
We got to the venue, and luckily, managed to snag some seats in the front of the room. This painting we did was a bit tricky (St. John’s Bridge), but at the end, it actually turned out pretty good! They have people who come around and give you tips/​answer questions as you go along, so it ends up looking just fine at the end. I, along with probably 90% of the people there spent the first couple hours talking trash about our artwork, but after 3 hours and a solid 30 expletives flying out of my mouth, it was something I would actually hang in my house! It felt really good to see that I could actually paint something worthwhile!
This is an awesome activity to do with friends or to do with a date. I love that they host this at lot of different locations (Portland, Clackamas, Vancouver, etc.) so that it fits with my schedule. The background music was really good, and I also like that you can order regular food and drinks from the menu (I did a class at a studio once and my only options were Mimosa, OJ, or champagne). I was told that they even do private events! Looks like my next birthday will be a painting party… I’ll definitely be back!

So I was a bit skeptical at first. Don’t get me wrong, the idea of having someone provide all the supplies and let me paint my heart out at a restaurant while I eat and drink sounded fun but could they really teach me how to duplicate the painting I signed up for? I decided to give it a chance and signed my mom, sister and I up for the class and… we LOVED it!
The class was so much fun. The teacher was amazing, the food & drinks were delish, and they made sure everyone was having a great time. They really do break the painting down bit by bit and by the end you feel like you could paint anything. Everyone’s pictures looked great! I had such a good time I’m already signed up for another class, just wish it was sooner. :)

This is so much fun! Went here with two of my girlfriends, and we’re already planning on coming back with more of our friends, maybe as a private session for a birthday. The staff is great, as was the restaurant service. The teacher was patient, concise, and funny. They make it easy to paint a great picture, even if you don’t have prior experience. Highly recommended!
