White Space features artists from the Pacific Northwest with a focus on contemporary art. Artists are often in the studio space creating new works. White Space hosts new exhibits on First Thursdays so be sure to come by. The studio also offers art consulting services to help you find the perfect pieces to enhance your home, office, or professional space.

Established in 2013.

The gallery was many years in the making. It just took finding the right spot.

Meet the Business Owner

Jeff M.

Business Owner

Jeff is the Creative Director of White Sapce and sits on the Board of the Contemporary Art Council of the Portland Art Museum. «I’ve always been interested in art since I was a kid — my mom used to take me to museums all the time, and in college I spent a lot of time studying art history. After graduating I lived in New York, and loved the energy of the artists there — there was a group just starting called Gen-​Art that sponsored young artists (under 30) shows and events. So I’ve always been interested in Contemporary art, particularly young and mid-​career artists where you can meet them, get to know them, and watch their work evolve over time. I’m not interested in reselling art from a hundred years ago, but in supporting local artists. As a result, we only show artists who live in the Pacific Northwest. Many times they can be found painting right in the gallery.»
