Description

Specialties

Indulge yourself with comfort and quiet elegance in this beautifully restored Inn nestled among the finest of historic architecture in Portland’s prestigious neighborhood, the West End. The Inn’s peaceful location and six comfortable bedrooms, each with private bath, invite a good night’s sleep. Guests enjoy a full made-to-order breakfast in the eastern-facing dining room boasting twelve foot decorative ceilings.

West End Inn was given a dose of design update in 2013, but with respect to our loyal return guests, the personality of the property was maintained. Several of the guest rooms retained the familiar Waverly wallpaper while the décor was freshened and modernized with amenities like WiFi flat screen televisions. Three of the guest rooms and common areas were completely redesigned in a stimulating and whimsical fashion. There is truly something for everyone at the West End Inn.

The Inn’s services and staff combine New England sensitivity to value with a flair for gracious hospitality. We are delighted to welcome you to our sophisticated townhouse bed and breakfast nestled in the heart of Portland Maine’s historic Western Promenade neighborhood. We look forward to being your hosts in this exciting city by the bay.

Meet the Business Owner

Deb and Scott D.

Business Owner

We have an extensive background in hospitality and customer service through the restaurant industry and other career paths. We owned a mid scale year round restaurant in the Midcoast area of Maine for many years. Scott was the chef in our restaurant as he is here at the West End Inn. Our interest in whole foods led him to manage or consult in several food cooperatives. After a stint of corporate employment we decided we would enjoy being self employed once again. We are very familiar with Maine, having lived in Portland, the Midcoast, Downeast and the Western Mountains as well as the White Mountains of New Hampshire where we participated in many of the activities available in those areas. Our experiences in those locations provide us with the ability to assist with information that could enhance your visit to Maine and beyond.
