This is a little sketchy for a Wendy’s, still the location is convenient so I would expect there is enough traffic for it to be better. Yet instead this is what you get. It is usually almost empty, even at meal times, yet strangely it is never completely empty. The customers look to be very serious and usually tired. My burger arrived cool, not cold though the onion was fresh from the fridge. The staff does their job and is efficient, they don’t even waist their smiles. They will do what you ask… grudgingly. The dining area seems cleanish and it is kind of empty feeling, no plants, decorating… kind of like a bus station feel… The bathroom smells funny, not to clean either. There are better restraints in the price range in the area, I suggest trying them. Note: I usually like Wendy’s though I miss the chicken cesar wraps(yes I will probably put that in every Wendy’s review I write…) This one is a disappointment, I will probably go to others in the future.

Best wendy’s I’ve ever been to ever since I could drive. Quality fast food and barely any waiting time unlike how McDonald’s is doing things now. Assemble my burger so I can eat.

I ordered a homestyle chicken breast; and the manager, who definitely is on drugs, allowed an employee to cut and give me a half of a chicken breast! I called to complain that they charged me $ 3.00 for a chicken breast they literally cut in half and gave me. and the manager said that they gave me a half because I ordered a side salad!!! What on Earth?! If I order a burger without the bun it doesn’t mean I want half of a patty! Horrible management, service, and food!

The two stars is mostly for the tasty food. My boyfriend and I came here on Thursday to try their chicken sandwiches. We were pretty impressed. The chicken was crispy, the veggies were good, and the buns were tasty. I only have two big complaints about this restaurant though. First, please expand your counter or get rid of one register. I had to squeeze around this rude ass ghetto chick to get my food. The counter is just far too small to send out orders. Second, no self serve fountain drinks? Are you kidding me? This isn’t the mall. You don’t have to constantly worry about some dumb kid stealing some soda. I don’t know about you but I hate it when I can’t get refills. This is honestly the first fast food restaurant I’ve been to that doesn’t have any self serve fountain drinks, so I was pretty upset.

I like Wendy’s because I can go through the drive through and get a small cup of chili and a baked potato and be on my way. Great little meal for $ 3.00 and it’s satisfying. I don’t know much about the other items. I tried the nuggets once and threw them away.

This is your standard Wendy’s. Fantastic burgers, even better chicken sandwiches, and the fries are steadily improving. This location is slightly sketchy — don’t be surprised when you’re hit up for change while you’re in the drive thru — but as for the food itself, it’s, well, typical Wendy’s, which is to say slightly better than other fast food drive-thru options nearby(save Burgerville, but they don’t have a 99-cent menu).

I don’t go to Wendy’s too often on a regular basis, so I wasn’t sure if my review would be too harsh, but after reading the other reviews other Unilocalers have mentioned about this particular location, I don’t feel too bad. I had just arrived in Portland for a business trip with my boss. We needed something quick to eat so we came here, but since I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, we actually ordered inside instead of going through the drive-thru. Now, I don’t know if this was our first mistake because(1) the place was packed;(2) we couldn’t tell which staff was just standing around spacing out and which ones were actually working;(3) they were slow; and(4) they still got our order wrong after all that time. If I need fast food, I’ll go somewhere else where the food is actually fast and my order is accurate.

This is the worst Wendy’s in Portland. I will drive to the one on Sandy Blvd. instead where I’m usually greeted with a smile and good food. The Lloyd District store frequently serves me cold and old food and with attitude. Not cool. As for the poster in 2010 that made the comment about tomatoes? Yeah, Wendy’s is doing that again in 2011. It seems to be their«compensation for a big freeze in our growing regions» every winter now.

I was already annoyed by Wendy’s(or at least the two local restaurants I’ve visited) policy to not give tomatoes with the food unless requested. The last time I went to a Wendy’s, I requested the tomato and was given the smallest tomato I have ever seen. This time, I requested tomatoes, I wasn’t given any and wasn’t told that I would not receive them. I understand cutting out an ingredient when there is a recall, but cutting it out because they’ve become too expensive due to a shortage is not acceptable. I work in a tax office and go to a lot of fast food this time of year, not one other place has made this response to the tomato shortage. The other restaurants have all chosen to eat the cost. Had I been told they were not available this time, that would have been something, but I wasn’t. Had the food been even half decent, it may have made up for the lack of tomatoes. It wasn’t. There was nearly no sauce on the sandwich(the two of us both ordered the same sandwich — a chicken club). The chicken was clearly very old and dried out. I used to be impressed by the consistent quality of food at Wendy’s. The stores were even fairly well run and the customer service was decent. Over the last 6 months or so, the quality and service has consistently dropped to a point where I won’t go back. I refuse to continue supporting any restaurant that I have tried so many times and consistently had bad food and bad service from people that clearly just do not care. I would love to see the Wendy’s of a couple years ago, but I’ve given up on that.

Hooray for the Spicy CK Sandwich! Fast food is so unhealthy but I always have room for that sucker. It’s flippin fantabulous!

The sign reads: Baconator, Your mouth wants one. And I thought about it for a second… and yes. Indeed. My mouth DID want one. Too bad it didn’t look all huge and shiny like it did on the menu. Fail. Dave Thomas woulda been PISSED if he’d seen how squished down that burger was! But nevertheless it Baconed my Nator, so I will let it slide. Pepper on the fries. side of ketchup. BOOM. Big success.
