Wash ‘N Roll Mobile Pet Grooming

The wash van showed up 45 minutes early. When they did the man was very rude to me. He took my dog from me and went in the van. While I was talking to them they shut the door to the van nit letting me finish talking. They took my dog from my sight knowing I wanted to still see her.
Be very careful. They are still finishing so I will update. My wife is upset because we have no access to our pet.
Update: They finished. Not as good as the first two times.

I had Wash ‘N Roll come give my cat a lion cut every 6 months or so for about 4 years. The first cut was good, they came within the window and impressed me with their treatment of my cat who is skittish. We realized mobile grooming was the best option for her Main Coon long hair that gets matted around her rear end now that she is over 10 years old. From then on though it went downhill, the only plus about our experiences was the groomers who my cat was comfortable with and enjoyed her cut. Each time I moved in that time period and gave the groomers my new address for the upcoming appointment the groomers on the day somehow would not have my new address and would go to the old one. They would call me, 90% of the time already past the 3 hour window of time they give you in which they are supposed to show up. My windows would usually fall on a weekend and on the weekend there is no number to call in which to contact someone if there is a problem or the groomers are late. So you are sitting in your house for 3 hours wondering where they are with no one to call. Then they finally call you and they are across town even though you provided your new address. This was an understandable mistake once, but not every single time I moved which was about 3 times in that period.
After about the 3^rd time they showed up outside the time window I told them that I needed an appointment time instead of a window and for the groomers to call AHEAD of that time if they were going to be late not well after. They agreed to give me an appointment time but apparently forgot to convey that to the groomers who continued to show up late without an advance call and when showing up thought I had a time window… every time…
The last appointment we had before I had enough was after we had bought a house and were just settled in so again they went to the wrong address. Thank goodness it was only 5 minutes from our new place but somehow the groomers could not find it and their GPS for some reason told them it was in Vancouver? when I enter it into GPS my house comes up. When the groomer called me to tell me she was at our house at no one was there, late for the appointment time, I informed her that we had an appointment not a window and that we had a new address. I gave her the new address and asked her to please inform her boss that we need a contact number on the weekends to call someone when they are late. The manager then calls me angry saying that I yelled at his groomer? I told him what I said to her and he apologizes and starts telling me about how long he’s run his business and how hard it is to run it himself. At no point in any of these issues was I ever offered any compensation or discount for my time and frustration at this ridiculous unprofessional manner and disorganization. So an hour and a half after their original LATE call at the wrong address they made it to our house.
We gave up at that point and finally found a different mobile groomer in town that works with cats. So far Metro Mobile Grooming has been like night and day.

Most unorganized company I’ve ever encountered. First you make an appt. around 3 weeks in advance. Now– this isn’t your actual appointment– this is the appointment for them to call you back with the time they will be there. So you wait 3 weeks, then THEY tell YOU when they can be there– have a job? Tough shit. They dictate to you their 3 hour window. And in 3 of the last 4 windows I was given, I got a call in the last 5 minutes… sorry the truck broke down, Sorry the «groomer called in sick» TWICE. Then you get to wait another week. The appointment they blew today makes it 5 WEEKS that I have been waiting for them to show up. Screw them– Seriously– worst company ever– if I could give them a thousand bad reviews I would.

The staff at W’NR that I have spoken to are kind people. Unfortunately, the last time I used them, the employees they sent cut corners. A lot.
The ladies seemed super nice, but they didn’t clip either of my dogs nails, didn’t give them a hygienic cut like I asked, left cotton balls shoved so far down in one set of their ears that I didn’t even see them there for two days! The biggest issue I had was that their anal glands were not expressed… it’s relatively obvious if it isn’t done. Unfortunately, I didn’t inspect them because I’d never ever had a problem previously. I believe I was incredibly clear about the need to have it done on both dogs because one of them is especially prone to infections if it isn’t done regularly.
I know expressing glands is gross, and to be honest, I don’t even want to do it. But if I am paying almost a $ 150 to have my dogs groomed, and I’m leaving a hefty tip, I expect them to do what I’ve asked/​paid for. Not only that, not having it done caused one of my dogs glands to become infected. Because of that, I spent $ 400 at the vet, and my dog was uncomfortable — all of these things adding up made for a seriously disappointing experience.
It is the only time I have ever had any complaints about W’NR, but these are fairly significant. It makes me sad when small businesses that are fabulous hire more and more people and the service becomes less and less stellar.
My dog can’t tell me what is going on, so I have to have a certain level of trust that they are going to be kind and loving to my dogs and do what I’m paying for. I am not sure what to do at this point. Is it really that hard to find a decent groomer in this city? One that doesn’t keep your dogs for 5 hours, or damage their souls, and actually does what you ask them to? I am leaving this business a 3 star rating because they did well with my dogs every other time I used them, but I’m so unbelievably disappointed with the last experience I just can’t give anymore stars — I am almost inclined to leave fewer, but I have to give some credit for good experiences in the past.

Excellent work ladies! You did exactly as I asked without any questions or hesitations; where most groomers gave me problems stating «they won’t look good like that» or «are you sure you want that». Usually my reply was «yes I’m paying you to do it». However! With these young cheerful ladies; they took Jacques & Momo into the mobile Van & proceeded to do a fantastic job. Luckily only Momo had minor armpit tangles but that was all. Phew. But they did great, Wash, Clip, Brush, & a great Sanitary clip on my two boys. I usually give every groomer an odd request; my Sanitary clip for long haired cats means (Trim around the Genitally & Anus; that’s the regular version, I then have them shave them bald from genitals up to an inch & a ½ ‘basically peni to belly button’) that way my long haired boys don’t stand up when their body hair touches the rims of the litter boxes. Most might object to this style but it saves me from washing the walls & avoiding all the hairballs from them constantly cleaning the area I have shaved for them. I had them come to my house today while I was at work and they did a fantastic job. My lab was very happy, soft and his hair was virtually shed free. Thank you for the great job!

I had to write this review after having my two Persian cats groomed by Wash ‘N Roll. They exceeded my expectations. First and foremost they did an excellent job grooming my difficult Persians. They were quick, gentle and my cats looked exactly as I requested. On top of that the customer service was impeccable. The technicians were friendly and genuinely cared about my kitties. Also, the scheduling of the appt was a breeze and they followed through on all communications. Lastly, my «girls» have been traumatized by grooming in the past (even though they went to highly qualified groomers), but this time they came back into my home purring and happy. I highly recommend their services, and I will be using they again.

Paris Hilton and her assorted «dogs-​as-​fashion-​accessories» would be so pleased. Wash ‘N Roll mobile dog grooming is who you call when you want your little Tinkerbell to be brushed, washed, fluffed and coiffed – and you don’t want to leave your house to deal with the hassle of dog-​nosed car windows and dog-​hair covered upholstery in your car. After all, taking the dog to the groomers typically means you have to then take your car to the car wash (well, I mean, if you are lazy. like me).
I am a far cry from Paris Hilton. My dogs are fat and stinky and could never be mistaken for fashion accessories (maybe a stout foot stool or a piece of luggage, perhaps). I think «Best in Show» is a hilarious movie – but that lifestyle has never been me. In fact, I have never taken my dogs to the groomer, instead choosing to bathe them myself which always left me totally stressed out and a big mess.
This idea is genius! They bring the dog groomer right to your door!
They arrived at my house with a tricked out dog wash-​mobile, and returned my pooches back to me about an hour later all clean and fresh, and with cute bandanas that will last about five whole minutes.
Folks, sometimes this kind of service is just plain worth it… especially if your dog, like mine, is so large he really doesn’t fit so great on the car seat anyway, and if you don’t want to pay Rotor Rooter to clean your drain after bathing him at home.
