Visibility is a women’s clothing boutique featuring casual, comfortable, colorful, and affordable clothes in sizes small to 3x. We offer «real clothes for real people!» Our goal is to help our clients dress for special occasions, casual events, holidays, and actual day-​to-​day living using our wide selection of accessories and beautiful jewelry to enhance any outfit. At our 1041 Washington Avenue Shop we also offer hair color and styling, manicures, pedicures, and gels, waxing, facial treatments, skincare products, makeup lessons, makeup products, wardrobe color and style consultations.

History

Established in 2000.

In May 2003 Visibility moved from 15 Country Lane, Falmouth to 844 Stevens Avenue, Portland. After 13 years, we moved to 1041 Washington Avenue, Portland and joined with Stuart Taylor, hair stylist. Since that time, we expanded our clothing and accessory offerings and added nail services. In 2013, Susan, Carie, and Mary opened a second Visibility at 2 Wharf Street in the Old Port of Portland. At this small seasonal boutique we offer clothing and accessories. In May 2015, we are opening a third Shop — Visibility at 3 Coveside Lane, Lower Village Kennebunk with Stuart Taylor and Company.

Business Owner

Carie Costello, Color & Style Consultant, lives in Falmouth, ME with her family. She has used her Master’s degree in Education/​Training while teaching high school students and adults. Carie helps people define and enhance their appearance. She teaches clients to create functional, comfortable, and beautiful wardrobes. Carie believes in keeping it simple and dressing the body you have right now. Carie can teach you how to dress your absolute best right away. Wearing your size in the best colors and styles make you look taller, thinner, and younger. Those are not just empty words but a promise and guarantee. Carie is a walking example of the way Color and Style work. She can help every client create her own best personal image.
