I was very surprised when I received a phone call from the management company last week. Apparently, they had read my review on Unilocal and wanted to understand the issues I had with my apartment. We spoke for a good 15 minutes. They were very apologetic and wanted to make sure all the issues I had with my apartment would be addressed for their future tenants. He also mentioned there was recently a change in management. Hopefully, they continue to make improvements on this building since it’s in a great location!

I picked my apartment at the Uptown Arms because it seemed like the best bang for my buck in the neighborhood. I have not been disappointed. I think I am getting a great deal, and I love living in Northwest. In 10 minutes I can walk to my favorite yoga studio in the Pearl (shout out to YoYo Yogi!), and I’m at work downtown in 20. And, on clear days, I have an awesome view of Mount St. Helens.
When I first moved in, there were some issues with one of the assistant managers, but since then management has done a lot to improve the buildings and hired all new staff who are super friendly and professional. I am really happy here.

Walls and floors so thin you can hear your neighbors’ bathroom noises, TV, coughing, sneezing, conversations, etc. Reasonable rent, but the lack of privacy is not worth it.
