I loved this place, it’s a lil on the pricey side for vintage/​used stuff, but they have lots of quality items, as well as some silly ones. I got a vintage secretary blouse for 12 dollars, which I feel like is a steal when American outfitters charges 50 for similar items. I definitely wanted to spend more through. They had a long flowy skirt for 25 which I thought was too much. I will be back for sure!

This cutie little shop is AMAZING!!! Perfect place for finding gifties. Loved it!

After reading some great reviews, I decided to check this place out during my visit to Portland. I was especially attracted by the reviews that said «vintage store quality items with thrift store prices.»
After visiting probably 20 different thrift, vintage, and antique stores in the Portland area (I basically spent the entire week here thrifting and eating), Little Edie’s is probably in my top 3!
This is the perfect blend between those disgustingly overpriced vintage stores and hit-​or-​miss, sketchy thrift stores. As a lover of thrifting, my biggest pet peeve is when vintage shop owners find things that are vintage or just «look» vintage, and throw a ridiculously high number on the price tag. This place doesn’t do that!
I found a large grey faux fur coat with a hood, which looked AMAZING on, for $ 20!!! I know of SO many places that would charge at least $ 70 just because it was faux fur and it looks like it’s from another decade. The prices aren’t complete steals like things you can find at thrift stores for $ 1-​$ 5, but the selection is great.
I also found a size medium Wilson real suede leather and faux fur lined coat for $ 35! I’m sure that jacket must have cost over $ 100 brand new. I also found a GORGEOUS vintage off-​the-​shoulder velvet dress with subtle floral patterns for $ 14!
The best finds were in a dollar bin in the front, where I found an American Apparel bathing suit top, a brown clutch, a vintage looking belt, and a pretty maroon velvet dress, all for $ 1 each!!!
Some items were a bit higher priced for my taste, but it was still much better than other vintage stores. Plus, you don’t need to look too hard to find something nice, whereas you’ll be sifting through dust-​covered piles of dirty clothes for hours to find good deals at thrift stores. Which I usually don’t mind doing. My only complaint is that the people working at the store didn’t seem to care for their customers at all and were kind of stand-​offish when interacting with me, but then again I had just come from shopping at boutiques where people try to pry your wallet open with their kindness. Still, that’s my only suggestion to you, Little Edie’s: work on making your customers feel welcome!
Overall, GREAT SELECTIONS, REASONABLE PRICES! WORTH THE TRIP FOR SURE!

This place is as awesome as its Grey Gardens reference but with 100% fewer ceiling raccoons. While the guys’ clothing selection was pretty thin, I did score an amazing pair of rainbow seersucker pants (I’m from Charleston, so it’s allowed), and Penelope helped me pick out some beautiful pieces for my sister. She’s as sweet as can be and totally made my quick trip to Portland. Definitely worth a visit!

The kind of place you feel the need to dig through carefully and thoroughly, because if you don’t your curiosity will never be sated!
The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the shop has lots of key things I look for when scouring second hand shops – unique textiles (ie, hand-​embroidered or neat patterns); well-​curated clothing; lots of tiny things to look at; thoughtfully organized collections of things like matchbooks or scarves or buttons – things that don’t necessarily have much ‘worth’ on their own but you can tell they have personal significance for the curator. The fact that you can take home a bit of that personal collection is pretty cool.
I am a relatively choosy (and cheap!) thrifter and I found lots of things I liked. I ended up buying several pillowcases, linens, and a scarf all for less than twenty bucks.
Highly recommend checking it out.

Just went here today. It was hard to find the place because of how tiny it is. Cant hardly see the sign or name of the store from the street.
This place made me feel like i was in one of those ‘little tikes’ plastic houses people buy their kids and leave in the backyard to get all moldy and covered with moss. This place wasnt moldy or mossy, but it was just tiny to get around in.
I really like the cincept of this place, and was hoping that it was everything I was hoping it would be, but I was really suprised that when I came in, the prices weren’t as cheap as people made them sound like. I understand, $ 3 is a great price, but not for a hankerchief when I can get them for a $ 1 (including shipping) on ebay, and they are just as vintage as these are. I wished that the store was bigger so that it could fit more stuff in it, but sadly its not. It might not be called ‘little edies’ if it was bigger. But I digress…
Love the old fashion hats, and of course, not much of a selection for women my size; but wasn’t really expecting there to be. Also, it was really really dark. Kind of hard to see some of the detail on things.
Kind of a hit and miss sort of place. The staff is really nice and friendly. But I will probably forget about this place and not go back again, unless something has changed.

Super nifty little thrift shop. Extremely well curated and packed with goodness. PACKED with goodness. And yet somehow, well organized enough to look through without giving me an overwhelming sense of where do I look, what do I do, I give up-​ness.

You like Post world war II fashion, this is the place for you.
A lot of wool and tweed fabrics. Longer dresses and skirts. Old fashioned jewelry and kitchy nic knacs from the 50’s and 60’s.
I was looking for artwork, they had very little wall art. They did have a large selection of shoes for women and clothing for women too.
The prices were a bit high.
The staff was friendly.

This place is AMAZING, just saying. The selection is vast and the quality is great. The owner was super helpful in picking out items for me and just about the sweetest person I encountered on my first trip to Portland. I cant wait to go back and see little baby Belle!

Little Edie. Though she is small, she is mighty!
If you want or need anything from cute/​vintage aprons, luggage, dresses, funky hats, intimate apparel, or shoes of all shapes and sizes; Edie has got you covered.
Not only are you covered in the clothing department, but there is a broad array of antique nick-​knacks. Everything from vintage stamps, wall hangings, black and white photographs, antique postcards, old keys, and the thing I found most entertaining were the antique financial log books from various Oregon businesses. Edie provides you plenty of treasures to keep you entertained for at least a solid hour!
The staff has always been pleasurable, amicable, and relaxed every time I have visited the shop. Most importantly they don’t treat you any differently whether you make a purchase or not. Very important. People are people, not numbers or sales and the staff at Little Edies seem to understand that.
After you’re done shopping you can relax in the garden just outside the shop or treat yourself to a caffeinated beverage at the attached coffee shop! I had given up on finding a cute thrift shop that is not overly priced in Portland, but Mighty Little Edie came to the rescue!

This is one of my new favorite vintage shops.

Come to this place if you want to leave with something cute and feel great about yourself :) If this doesn’t happen, the beer next door might.
P. S.- I am not a friend of the owner, but I have seen her in there and she is sweet and adorable. Just like the shop.

This place is my new favorite little thrift store in Portland (located conveniently next door to my least favorite coffee shop).
They have a small but nice selection of clothing that seems to rotate frequently enough for casual weekly visits. Good selection of button-​ups, shoes/​boots, jackets, sweaters, and Ts.
They have Ladies stuff too, but I’m unfamiliar, as I haven’t really browsed it. I’d say it’s about ²⁄₃ Women’s. As with most vintage shops.
Throughout the small shop there are knick-​knacks, books, sunglasses, ties, a small crate of old records, old photographs, deer antlers etc for sale as well.
Riding a very nice line between antique shop and well curated vintage shop. Prices are lower than most vintage shops in town.
I’ve found some nice things here, but more so I really like the overall vibe of this shop.

It’s hard to say something is authentic these days and come off believable. Authentic to what, or to whom? As impossible as it is to assert this feeling verbally, it’s a sense that everyone possesses. We may not be able to describe or articulate reasoning, but we can all tell you whether we believe in a song/​movie/​book/​poem/​person/​building. I do not know the proprietress of Little Edie’s a bit, but I can say her shop is authentic to her character, or I should say her style. I just know.
The store’s name calls upon a unique fashion icon but only in spirit. It doesn’t feature items that Little Edie «would wear,» instead it calls upon us as customers to wear what we like, what makes us feel good, and thus create our own style. What was great about Little Edie was that she was bald and didn’t leave her home for years but still was able to cultivate a unique look that would be immolated for decades to come. Yes, I know it probably helped that she was a Bouvier, but still, if I were to directly copy her clothing item for item, it wouldn’t be me, and you’d correctly cite me as inauthentic.
The shop is street level, but it has the feel of an attic, an attic that I’d like to live in. There’s maps, globes, board games, wallets, zebra stripe gum, hats, shoes, sunglasses, children’s-, men’s-, and women’s clothes. All sales are recorded on a typewriter, and no, this doesn’t come off as precious, just awesome. The clothing isn’t all vintage, nor does it cater to one particular style. It’s not that there aren’t any stores in Portland that sell any or all of these items. It’s the layout or the arrangement of the products that’s so inviting. The space is both warm and dark. The clothing is fairly priced with plenty of unique pieces. The dollar bins outside call my name.

Great little shop in a small, non-​confrontational building. I’ve always loved the window displays since I seem to always walk past in the evening when they’re closed.
The store itself was great, lots of gems and great vintage items. The owner of the shop is so sweet and so invested in creating a unique, enjoyable shopping experience. Her attention to detail is obvious. I appreciated how much she valued her customers and how helpful she was.
Definitely stop in here after you grab a beer/​coffee at the waypost!

Having travelled from San Francisco to do some thrift shopping sounds sort of counter-​intuitive, but not when there are places like Little Edie’s Five and Dime hanging around.
Carrying anything from pretty typewriters, vintage dresses, skirts from Paris to DIY Chucks, candy jars and Raggedy Ann dolls, this place is where one ought to trot if in need of something instantly amazing.
The owners are very welcoming. They moved up from my neck of the woods to open something great. As they stated, «Great finds but not with San Francisco prices.» They are definitely great, since they went scouting for the cream of the crop themselves.
As I walked in, someone had purchased the Beatles «Revolver» vinyl and walked out smiling. Another gentleman flipped through the records with his 3 year old. If I were a local, I’d be walking in there all of the time.

It’s like walking into a secret treasure chest! This little shop tucked away on Williams (next door to the Waypost) is full of gems. Seriously, they have everything… old books and paintings, typewriters, kick ass clothes, jewelry, locally made crafts, records and CANDY… The things I have found there have quickly become my favorite things. Whether its the shoes I wear everyday or that dress that always feels right, it seems it always ends up that I got it at Little Edie’s. I love shopping at a place where I can fall in love with something and not be afraid of what the price tag says. In fact, the price tags are made out old year book photos! How cool is that? The best part is how friendly and unpretentious this place is. It’s more like playing dress-​up in your best friends closet or going to the worlds best yard sale.

This new store is the best thing to hit Portland in a long time. The selection of used and kind of kitsch items, including men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, books, kitchen stuff, art, post cards and more goes on and on. You name it, and you can find it here. The owner has an amazing eye for merchandise, and has created a very nice atmosphere in which to shop. Her prices are very fair, and she is wonderful to chat with. I highly recommend this as a regular stop for any lover of cool stuff, great ambiance and a good deal!
