Such a great little spot. Quaint and inviting. The service is wonderful, the food was inventive and delicious, and the beet-ginger-carrot bloody mary made me swoon. Will be back!

I can’t believe this place has been here for about 2 years and I didn’t know about it! I went to Trinket for brunch for the first time this afternoon. It was divine! I had the Duck Eggs Benedict. It was superb! The eggs were cooked perfectly. When you break them open, the yolk oozes out just like its supposed to. The hollandaise sauce was excellent — cooked to perfection — the taste — amazing! THIS is how benedict needs to be done. My husband loved his food as well — the freshest avocado — great tasting bacon — just awesome. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Table service was just right — not too little, not too much. This will become a go-to spot for me. We will be back!!! Highly recommended!!!

Love that this place is literally next door to my job. I eat here so often that when I call, the gal immediately quotes my fave dish. The sausage hash. The veggies in the hash are local and seasonal. So, it’s always something new! The sausage is made in house and is scrumptious. I also love the kale salad and would die for the secret sauce recipe. The location is really cute and cozy, with a variety of mixed drinks offered as daily specials. This is a perfect little brunch spot.

First time here over the weekend while visiting, so cute! We found Trinket on Unilocal. There were so many good reviews we decided to eat here directly off of the plane. The service was so helpful and friendly, the location is incredibly cute and the food was great. It’s not your traditional breakfast, which is great, but I personally found the food kind of rich so I probably couldn’t eat it every weekend or anything. HOWEVER, that being said, I would definitely recommend anything on the menu to anyone visiting Portland, and I would definitely return. The pistachio roll was yummy, by the way.

Met a good girlfriend and her young baby on Saturday morning(1⁄10), arrived about 9& immediately seated. This was our first time here and were excited to try a new place outside of the«staples» for brunch. So glad we did! The waitress was warm, provided thoughtful & honest feedback and was very accommodating. They even had us in & out within an hour, which is needed when you have a 6.5 month old and almost unheard of for Saturday breakfast in Portland. Both my friend and I ordered the Special, Pistachio French Toast. Um, it was so freaking amazing, I am still thinking about it. It looked like a large, stuffed French toast but had the consistency in-between bread pudding and almost a Danish, in a way(I can’t explain, it is just complete tasty deliciousness in your mouth). The top was a homemade orange citrus marmalade that had the perfect amount of sweet & just a hit of tart; with beautiful, colorful miniature slices of the citrus fruit it consisted of. Finally a mascarpone(?) or crème on top. Maple syrup was brought to the table. It was almost blasphemy to do so. We didn’t touch it because we didn’t need it. The dish was absolutely perfect exactly how it was. We also had a side of bacon and hash browns. Bacon was thick and had a nice crisp to it(it was completely inhaled). The hash browns were good but that was the only piece left on the table after our gorge session. Finally, let’s talk Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was a… beautiful Bloody Mary. It is so hard to find a good, HORSERADISH Bloody Mary in this town. A TRUE horseradish Bloody Mary. This place, has it. It literally brought tears to my eyes and cleared my nose for a day. Trinket is my new fav breakfast spot. Looking forward to next weekend and bringing my husband!

Went here with my bestie on New Year’s Dave for brunch/lunch. We went around 2:00pm-ish since trying to go earlier to anywhere on that day without a reservation would be just plain crazy. The place is very small so waiting for a seat with others was a bit crowded, but okay with us. We ordered drinks at the bar and a few minutes later we had our lunch. I ordered the breakfast sandwich(duck egg, sausage, kale) which was Delicious! Paired that off with some potatoes and yum! My friend had the has with parsnips and potatoes and that came with a side of kale slaw too(I think this place has a love affair with kale). Overall, it was a really nice experience and I would go there again. Just like any other place come there early or give yourself enough time.

Classy brunch joint with superb quality food without the classy prices. Get the insanely delicious huevos al pastor with«pineapple braised pork». Harlow is waay more crowded but this place is just as good. Definitely worth the slight trek a few blocks from Hawthorne.

I thought this place was so adorable and I really like the décor. We didn’t have a long wait for a Sunday morning which was awesome and the staff was so friendly. My coffee cup was never empty, they were really good about that haha but also they had the best drip coffee I thought compared to other brunch places I’ve been to. The waitress also gave us a free pistachio pastry because we waited so patiently and that was so bomb and really nice of them. The menu had a lot of variety and it was hard to pick but I went with the duck eggs benedict and my fiancé got their hash of the day. His hash had brussel sprouts, pork sausage, and cranberries in it along with potatoes and eggs and it was so good! Tasted like thanksgiving in your mouth because of the spices they added. Their duck eggs benedict was also delicious with perfect runny poached eggs. I think it I ever get that again I would exchange their hash browns for some greens because it needed some veggies. Their waffles were yummy as well and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.

This is awesome. Smells great, which is always a good sign. Love the music & volume of it – the drinks were delicious and food was fast and amazing! I’m not from around here but if I moved I would definitely become a regular at this place.

Everything about this place is AWESOME! This has been on my list of ‘places to try’ for a while and I finally got to it last week and I’m so glad I did! We came in around 11:30 on a Friday and my first reaction was how much I adored the cozy, intimate space. Next was the music — I arrived first so I got to it and enjoy it for a while and whatever playlist these guys are rocking is my JAM. We ordered and shared the hash of the day as well as the Huevos Al Pastor(pineapple braised pork, corn tortillas, fried eggs, sour cream and avocado). HOLYGUACAMOLE. It was seriously one of the best things I’ve eaten in a while! We decided to also try some cocktails — I tried the Cure — a twist on a bloody with vodka, house bloody mary & beet-carrot-ginger juice. So light and delicious! The service was AWESOME and kept refilling our water glasses and coffee while we sat and chat for hours and hours. I can not recommend this place enough!

What an amazing place! The food. was to die for! I am so happy I found this place. I suggest the Duck Egg Benedict. You’ll love it. Our server, Jena, was amazing as well. Crafted some delicious cocktails and was extremely friendly. I can’t wait to go back to Portland so I can eat here agin.

I visited with my wife on a Sunday morning. Since we drive by frequently, we knew prior that there would be a wait so we came on a day that we could arrive right at opening time, and we did. Trinket is small, and though this of course means they cannot seat too many, it also lends the space a great degree of coziness. There’s a large chandelier made of antlers greeting you centerstage. That cliched log-cabin character one sees here and there these days, still allows for magnificent pieces like this chandelier. The ambience is warm and inviting, familiar and yet foreign. It’s one of those places you can certainly find yourself wondering off in, looking all around you and absorbing it all. There’s also something quite routine about Trinket’s ambience, something as recognizable and regular as the corner café or dinner at grandpa’s when you were a kid. The cocktails looked very tempting, but«I’ll save the bloody mary for next time,» I told myself. I ordered the polenta w/greens and eggs, and my wife the Eggs Benedict. We conversed while we waited, enjoying the view. They offered a balanced brunch menu on our visit, impressive for its savory options and the ingredients on-hand. I was pleased to find greens such a utilized ingredient, when I often times can’t even find it offered at a BBQ or «Southern» joint. Some menu items reminded me of Five Leaves in Brooklyn. However, Trinket lacks the sweet selections. Just one or two offerings would really balance the menu out further in my opinion. It didn’t take long at all for us to receive our order. It was quite typical, especially considering that the house was packed(and with folks waiting). My polenta with greens and eggs was divine. The polenta was creamy and smooth, without overtly tasting butter. The greens were just beautiful, perfectly cooked in onions, mushrooms, and peppers. The eggs just added a lusciousness to the entire thing. It was a wonderful dish, worth ordering again and again. The eggs benedict were great, though I liked them a tad more than my wife, who thought the tangy homemade hollandaise sauce used too much lemon. The duck eggs were wonderfully rich and the ham mouth-watering. The coffee, which they go around refilling, is also flavorful. It exists in a nice spot between the light, acidic roasts common locally, and the burnt roasts ubiquitous in your national chains and the general market. The restaurant was pretty lively on our visit. Some seats are more private than others but all are within the same room. I wouldn’t recommend coming in a group of more than five or six. Even if there’s a wait, I doubt it would be very long. Also, there are some loungechair-type seats out in front of the place, as well as a picnic bench over by Joe Bike.

Very nice brunch place on the east side. Prompt and friendly service as well. I got the duck eggs benedict which was very nice. My friend got the Chilaqulies which was superb, havent had that for brunch ever! They had a nordic dessert which I forget the name of, but it was a light sweet pie which was tasty. Definitely worthy of keeping up PDX’s proud brunch traditions.

Great service and amazing food again! This time even though I wanted to ruder the duck egg Benedict again, I resisted and ordered the polenta, greens with steamed eggs and added the pork el pastor. Some how the order got mixed up up with the huevos el pastor. While the wrong order that came out, looked amazing, it wasn’t the polenta. The waitress was the best! She was so sorry and insisted that she was at fault. The correct breakfast came out and was perfect. The polenta was velvety, the greens were perfectly seasoned. The eggs exactly runny and the pork was flavorsome. After such a wonderful breakfast and even though I was more than willing to pay. Our waitress insisted on it charging for the meal. This is a great little neighborhood Resturant that is a little gem that is worth speaking out. I will be back again!

The ventilation inside this restaurant was horrible: the oil and fumes from the kitchen were all over the restaurant and there was no cracked window or airflow at all. This place has unique water bottles(water put into hard liquor bottles). The egg benedicts were good, but the hash brown was salted to 3x-4x the normal amount of salt so we had to replace it(the waitress was happy to do so though).

Went here this morning as we keep walking past it and decided ‘today was the day’. We ordered the ‘Duck Eggs Benedict’ and the ‘Savory Waffle’ and split it halfsies. The Duck Eggs Benedict was perfectly seasoned and very rich from the duck eggs. It came with a side of roastie, which I guess is a flat round hash brown. The roastie was nice and crunchy. It was a little difficult to cut through the muffin for the eggs benedict, but I will say it stayed crunchy even with it soaking up the eggs and the ratio of bread to eggs to ham was perfect. The Savory Waffle had an onion compote on it, and we topped it with eggs… well, just because. The description said it was made with bacon, although I didn’t really taste it. Nonetheless, I would not change a thing as this dish was delicious and was my favorite of the two. Becky was very helpful when we posed to her our thoughts on choices and what we were hoping to eat. She was very prompt in filling the coffee and the food came out hot. Thanks Becky! I will say the food took slightly long to come out, but I’d rather have something freshly prepared with the finest ingredients compared to an egg mcmuffin from McDonalds. I just figured to put this in the review in case people think they can grab a super quick bite to eat and run. While this place was a bit pricey(which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars), the quality warrants the price and I’d definitely come here again on my next visit.

Everything about this place is classy and of great quality. The atmosphere is rustic, with deep, rich colors and vintage glasses/lamps/stools. It’s what I would imagine a really upscale saloon could’ve been like in the 1800s, something like that. The staff was also top notch and very communicative about wait times, etc.(Free coffee available while you wait!) My fiancé and I both got the Duck Eggs Benedict and that dish is fantastic, a real stand out. It’s really exciting to find a perfect benedict dish because there are a lot of factors that have to sync up, and this dish was that! Great balance with flavor and textures, the hollandaise sauce was perfect(not too runny or thick) and the duck egg flavor was a really unique, tasty departure from chicken eggs. I don’t know exactly why they taste different but they seem to have more flavor in every bite. My Bloody Mary tasted good, the veggies could have been a little better(seemed stlightly stale, but not bad enough to ruin anything). They also have Gin and another spirit option(name escaping me) for the Bloody, so there’s variety if you want to try something other than Vodka. The BFK drink was a great coffee-irish cream-kahlua-whipped cream mix, my fiancé ordered one and the sip I had was so good, I had to order it! All in all, this is a top notch place, with first rate service and melt-in-your-mouth-sell-your-soul-for-a-bite food!!! Definitely will be back, thanks for a great brunch experience folks!

We ate here on our way out of Portland to drive back to California. I am so glad we chose this place. Every SINGLE detail of this place yells — THOUGHTFUL. From the antler lamps, the little antler hooks, the booths, the tables, the silverware, glasses, plates, etc has been very thoughtfully picked out. It isn’t a huge place BUT it is definitely worth the wait. The servers were very sweet and helpful. The food were amazing. I ordered the hash of the day which had broccolini, cauliflower, butternut squash, house sausage and on top perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs. It is orgasm in your mouth. NOJOKE. My boyfriend ordered Huevos Al Pastor — WOW. That was also ridiculously good. The place is amazing and because of all the attention to detail from the place, to the things in it, to the food. This place is a definite winner! Try it. You owe yourself that. We don’t drink but I bet their cocktails are ridiculous too. YUM!
