Ticketmaster

I don’t usually write reviews. However, Ticketmaster’s incredibly disappointing customer service has compelled me to action. I bought a ticket. They never provided it. I had to buy a second ticket and they offered no refund or apology. There is no need for epic exaggeration, as the simple facts of the story will reveal Ticketmaster’s lazy incompetence.
I purchased a ticket to a show down in Eugene 3 weeks prior to the event and elected to have the ticket mailed to my place in Portland. The ticket had not arrived after 2 ½ weeks so I called their customer service number. I was told that my name would be placed on the will call and there would be a ticket waiting for me there. I drove 2 hours down to Eugene to be told by will call agents that my request for a ticket had been denied and that I would need to purchase a ticket if I wished to enter the show which I did. Two days after the show I called Ticketmaster and they told me they knew that my request for a ticket at will call had been denied a few days prior to the show and that they «attempted» to contact me even though I had not one missed call or voicemail from them.
They proceeded to explain to me that I would not get a refund from them and that the whole experience was my fault because I did not call about my missing ticket in advance of the show, which I did. Ticketmaster did nothing to help me and was able to keep the money I paid for the ticket I never used. Those are the facts and I will leave it to you to interpret them your way. If I had the choice, I wouldn’t use Ticketmaster’s services again. Unfortunately, they’ve monopolized ticket sales/​distribution and I have no other choice. They have no incentive to do right by their customers, and so they don’t.

Still sucks. Illegal fees, false advertising, monopolistic business practices, and on and on and on. Can’t the FTC take on Ticketbastard?

I absolutely hate this monopoly. I’ve been waiting months for the presale of Timbers tickets to those of us who paid to be on the season ticket waiting list. However, Ticketbastard gave everyone the same password, so the website was swamped and I was only able to get tickets to one game. I guess I should be grateful though, as a lot of people couldn’t even get to the website. So, the scalpers win again.
Don’t even get me started about their service fees!

I REALLY don’t understand what Ticketmaster does that would (when tickets are held at will-​call) necessitate a $ 4 «processing charge» AND a $ 3.50 PER TICKET «convenience charge».
Nothing about their service was particularly convenient. It’s like George Orwell created a ticket service and named everything ironically.
THE most annoying part of my experience was the new MasterCard authentication process that apparently is required to buy tickets — but my credit card company doesn’t participate. So, I had to go through the whole process again, with a new credit card.
If I could, I would never use Ticketmaster for any purchase. Damn the monopoly!

I have 3 words for this company:
SUCK IT.
TM, you get minus 1 gazillion (infinity)+1 stars. It’s gotta be criminal or something, what you’re doing to us.
I have yelled at managers, I have walked away from a kiosk in a huff, and when it comes down to it, I’ve even had to return, head held in shame, to purchase my fucking tickets from this Hell spawned conglomerate. But enough is enough. I absolutely refuse to pay an $ 18 service & ‘distance’ fee for tickets to Bumbershoot. ‘DISTANCE FEE’!!! WTFYFMF?!
Instead, I will simply circumvent the whole process & buy the tickets on craigslist off of someone else who got corn-​holed by TM. Now I know, it’s not fair to play off of other peoples misfortune, but $ 18 is just about a third of the price of the gas its going to take to get there at this point.
