Our space is a curated collection of men’s designer clothing, with an emphasis on contemporary style and fit. Boasting a brand list of over 300, virtually every brand from the globe is represented. From the classics such as Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Comme de Garçon, to newer additions to the fashion world like Wings + Horns, APC, Opening Ceremony and many more. If you are a business man, you are sure to be impressed with our assemblage of Napolitan dress shirts and suits, from the handmade Borelli Napoli’s, to the superior design and fabrics of Isaia Napoli. We make sure that everything is cleaned, pressed and in excellent condition; free from defect.

Established in 2011.

Started in Portland Oregon by Lance Miller and brothers Max and Ian Andreae.

Business Owner

A Portland, OR native, Lance was innately imbued with a yen for fashion as well as recycling. Those two passions intertwine to create a world-​class boutique consignment shop just for men, representing brands from Hugo Boss to Hermés. But all of this would not have been possible without the aid of his two co-​owners (and best friends), the Brothers Andreae. Maximilian, the elder, who is easily the most stylish of the three, with a background in fashion and possessing a gift for rhetoric that would make Wodehouse blush. Ian, the younger Andreae, who studied at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, is at home on both sides of the lens, being both a model and a photographer. He also handles all things web and media related.

High quality consignment clothing. You will find expensive brands in great condition that will last a long time. Lance and Annie are perfectly attentive without being pushy. Prices are very reasonable given the quality of the pieces, and a far better deal than the high-​end stores.
The shoppability of the store is great. Colors are placed together, and are sized accordingly. The owners are great and provide top-​notch service. 5 stars. I love this place.

Being an «east-​sider», I stop in here every time I hit NW 23rd. Probably 75% of my wardrobe has come from this place. They have top quality stuff at a fraction of the retail. It’s still not necessarily cheap, but it’s great prices for what you’re buying. The staff really knows their business, I’ve asked about various designers or brands on garments, and they always seem to be familiar. And they offer you drinks!

Hands down the best thrift shop in Portland for men. Max and Lance have been very helpful every time I stop by and honest when it comes to consigning with them as they have a good setup for tracking. I can’t say enough good things about the knowledge and business savvy they have as well and they are always eager to find new trends for men. Case and point — I’ve never been complimented so much on a pair of shoes and sport coat I purchased from Threads Count because they know what looks good. I look forward to stopping by again.

If I were a guy in Portland I’d shop here for everything!
Heck, I HAVE shopped here for myself! My first purchase was a Burberry sweater for only $ 70, which was currently selling at Nordstrom for $ 425! I cleverly wear it with leggings and boots I also bought Tom’s sunglasses (brand new) for $ 50 and again, they were $ 150 regular retail.
And back to the male customers, don’t get me started on the denim! Best selection and best prices you’re gonna see on Acne, 3×1, Hudson, 7’s, John Varvatos, the list goes on!
Another bonus, you can play with the cute shop dogs when you visit

Whenever we shop for my boyfriend, Threads Count is the first place and usually the only place we go– it is the best consignment shoppe for men. This boutique offers a personal shopping experience. What sets Threads Count apart from most retail experiences in Portland is the dedicated staff. They are committed to understanding clothing, trends, fittings and the customers needs. I don’t know much about clothes but when I go with staff recommendations I am usually getting complimented when wearing the gear out on the town. There is also the added benefit of being able to sell clothes there and have a pint while you shop. For people that appreciate men’s fashion it’s worth it to just drop in and talk with these guys.

As both a buyer and seller of clothing at Threads Count, I have walked away with some great deals on nearly brand new high-​end label clothing, but I have also got a good return on the clothing and shoes I have brought in to sell on consignment.
When I first met the owner, Lance, he was immediately warm and welcoming; knowledgable and easy-​going. He always offers his customers something to drink (beer, coffee, or water) and answers any questions about fashion or what brands sell best in his store. He lets you browse around and never tries to pressure you to buy something. If you are looking to buy brands such as: Prada, Hugo Boss, Hermes, Diesel, Ferragamo, Zegna, Gucci, or Thomas Pink, this is the mens clothing store for you (or for your boyfriend/​husband).
Lance hired help as his company grew and Annie has been very helpful to me and taken most of my clothing that I brought in to put on consignment. She is ebullient, knowledgeable, and treats every client like they are her #1 priority. I enjoy receiving emails when one of my items sells, and they always keep me updated on how much I have earned and how many items I still have on consignment. They are flexible on when they cut you a check; you can let your account build up or get paid as soon as you sell an item.
If you have not been to Threads Count, next time you’re strolling around NW 23rd make sure to check it out for yourself!

This store is great. I was in Portland on vacation and happen to run by this while walking around NW 23rd. The girl working there (I believe her name was Annie) immediately was warm and welcoming. I purchased a Banana Republic jacket and a J Crew shirt. Both looked like they had never been worn before. I definitely will be visiting this shop when I’m back in Portland.

This is in my opinion Portland’s best kept secret for menswear essentials. Each time I check it out I feel like they get a better eye and a better selection in stock. Last time I went in I got a pair of persols that were very old and a style I had not seen before. They were also a tremendous deal.
Remember that Threads Count is a consignment clothier (second hand) and for high-​end goods that they carry it is sometimes a better purchase. The reason is because the price is well below what a department store or designer label would charge and often times these types of clothes look better after some wear (especially if taken good care of).

Are you down with wearing other people’s clothes? Ok, let me restate, are you down with letting other people pay full price for great clothes, lightly using them or not at all it seems in some cases and then letting Threads Count curate a superior collection at way cheaper prices? Yah, I thought so! Me too!
This boutique is simple, which works well for it. Organized and clean, I have always been able to peruse the merch easily and if looking for something specific, find it quickly. The gent behind the counter is friendly and always offers a refreshment to me while I shop.
I have to say the selection here is fantastic. Banana Republic to Burberry, J Crew to Hermes. Everything is in great to perfect condition (with the exception of the shoes, but they are still nice and very wearable). They also have just about everything you may need: Suits, furnishings, sweaters, shoes, accessories, casual wear and jeans. What sweetens the pot even further are the prices! I’m a big fan and I will be back often.

I almost hate to review this place because i don’t want people to know about it. but… since the secret is basically out here goes: this place is awesome. the crew of fashionistas (not traditionally my favorite social group) are great. the dog is great. the beer is great. the clothes are way great. I got a pair of pants for like $ 40 or $ 50 or $ 60 that are legitimately $ 450 to $ 600. I know because I have another pair of them I bought in the normal world and paid retail for them. it’s ridiculous what they have and at what prices they have it. so there you go. go shop there and you’ll be happy. but just FYI, if you’re like 6 feet and 195… they have absolutely nothing in your size. so don’t even bother going. if that’s your size. really.

Went to TC last weekend in the hip Alphabet District. It’s a very nice looking store in an old house (three rooms of clothing). The salesperson was pleasant enough though with some attitude, which didn’t bother me. I was there to shop. In particular, I was looking for a sport coat. They had high-​end brands ($$$ for used) but little selection for my size (39 regular). I ended up buying a nice shirt. I’m not sure it’s worth my traveling from Beaverton in the future but glad to know it’s there. My search for another consignment store for men continues…

Not sure where to begin with these guys. I was excited to find a place to consign my clothes with other than the usual chains around town. Things started off fine but when it came time to getting paid things were a different story. What they told me was not what was written on the consignment sheet nor the same as what was written on their website. After we had agreed on the prices that they would sell things for they offered sales to customers and that ultimately came out of my end. They had never said that they would sell things for less than we had agreed upon. We did agree that one set of things could be sold for a 10% discount and nothing else. When the consignment period was over I came in to pick up my check and what was left of my clothes. They wrote a check but forgot to give me all of my items back. They said they would email me a copy of the invoice for what things sold for but I had to call them days later to get them to do it. When I checked the invoice against the prices we had agreed upon they gave other discounts to pieces that were not agreed to be discounted. I had to go back in to pick up my item that they had forgotten to give me on top of the money they owed me. I deposited the check thinking and hoping this would be the last I would have to deal with them and went out of town for the holidays and when I returned I found that they had stopped payment on what they owed me and have not bothered to contact me regarding this issue. On top of not getting the difference I also have a bank fee caused by them for stopping payment. For what they do owe me, it is not worth it and this review will have to suffice. I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND consigning anything with these guys as it will be anything but what you had thought.
UPDATE: I finally received a check from them for the difference they owed me along with the bank fees from the cancelled check.

Great selection of upscale vintage and gently used items. This is the first men-​only boutique and resale shop I have been to and it was certainly impressive. The prices are a bit high, but they are dealing in quality pieces that you will have in your closet for many years to come. They do take items in for consignment, if they are unique and in-​season. The selection is a bit smaller, which is nice; means they don’t take everything… so keep that in mind.
They also will tailor items they sell, as well as your own items you may need hemmed or whatever. If you are a man that appreciates style and you are looking to be well-​dressed be sure to pop in.

My initial inquiry with TC was online and had a response with ten minutes. These guys are running a tight ship and it shows with meticulous displays and customer service. Although they didn’t have many options for my 36R size (though I thought I was a 38), Ian mentioned he would keep an eye out and let me know.
The prices were a little more than I could really afford but they are reasonable and the quality seemed top notch. I’ll be back looking again within two or three weeks.

This is the single best place to buy shirts, slacks, or whatever business/​formal clothes that you need. I really appreciated the attention they paid to fitting the shirts and having them tailored. Not to mention the free glass of drop top while I shopped.
