Theo’s

I love Theo’s on 5^th, always have. Post Office version i do NOT recommend! Waited for my order until lunch break was almost done, asked about my order. I asked if they could make it «to go,» as I was losing money at work. They said they were just starting the order (25 mins after ordering).
10 mins later, they hadn’t even started the order. Basically, they lied. I asked what they could do, when a young man yelled «Give him some cash and get him out of here.» What followed was 2 employees blaming me for their lack of service & courtesy. I left without all my money refunded, no food, and lost money at work — perfect storm for a most imperfect place.
Theo’s on 5^th Ave gets 5 stars. Theo’s post office — one star is one too many. Putting 3 grouchy, surly young people in charge with no management is a bad choice.

Several times this week phone orders were made-​3 people behind the counter and still all the orders were screwed up-​3 cheese burgers. How can you mess up cheese burgers and fries? Seriously. The choice of loud music-​really not appropriate for a business. I get it, they are young and hip and that might appeal to someone but not here. We have to share the air space and to have to endure the crappy music. The isn’t your garage and we are jamming with you.

Oh boy. I kept wondering what this place was like, thinking «Maybe there’s a good view from the fourth floor and they’ll be a cute/​yummy deli.» Alas, I was disappointed (disclosure: this was based on a single visit).
Ambiance: there is none. It seems to almost be a cafeteria for the people who work in the post office building.
Service: girl behind the counter seemed not-​so-​thrilled to be alive. It’s worth mentioning I visited here once and stood at the counter for 3 whole minutes and got no service (I could see this same girl in the back drawing/​writing and she never looked up)
Food: sandwich was pretty mediocre. Ordered a side salad with «blue cheese dressing» which translates into nothing more than a whiteish colored watery substance. I seriously think they must be diluting this dressing with water.
End result: this will be my only visit here. Very disappointing.
