Great sneaker selection for your out of the norm foott locker selection. They’ve got tons of Sauconys which in my opinion are some of the most comfortable athletic footwear I’ve dawned my feet with in quite some time. They’ve got some slick Diodoras as well which I completely forgot about since the 90’s! It’s not all that large of a store so don’t bring the whole gang to go check out shoes. Prices are fair, not the best but not a rip off by any means. The guy that was working the register was very friendly. I love the store name. We were standing out in front of it and my friend looks inside the window and says«Hey, is this some kind of shoe store or something?» I replied with«I don’t know, what’s the name? Well, I’m guessing so!» All in all a good shop with that local feel. I’d definitely come back to pick up some new kicks!

Love this place. Best selection of retro sneakers in town. It is very hard to not find something to love in this shop. Owners are super chill. By the time I’d looked at a pair for more than a few seconds, he had it out for me to try. Spotted me two pair of extra laces as I didn’t love the ones my sneakers came with. Incredibly selection of fun socks for guys & gals. Very fair prices, lots of cool sneaks on sale. Local business, cool owners, awesome neighborhood. What’s not to love?

Great selection and very personable customer service. It’s my go to store for casual shoes and some dressy leather style shoes/high tops. I did read a few negative reviews. I can’t relate. One review mentioned issues with a return. The return policy is clearly stated and reasonable. You can’t wear shoes and expect a full refund anywhere. The next reviewer seems to have several reviews that are negative so maybe it isn’t the store. I have gone to this store for a couple of years and I love the store, the service and the people.

The owners here are very friendly and they carry a great selection of old school kicks. Bought a pair of Tigers for work and I can’t wait to break them in. The owners even helped us out with a broken pair of sunglasses and told us about some cool spots to check out for Happy Hour. Thanks!

As an «OOT-ner» I had yet to learn that Oregon has no sales tax(say waaa?) as well as understanding some of the«cultural norms» that happen here in this far away world. So when I walked into this little place the workers were friendly and active in letting me know what sales were going on. We were able to talk about the new things I experienced in this foreign state(i.e. you don’t pump your own gas and that anything over 75 mph was dangerously fast on the highway). I picked myself up a pair of sacony’s(which were HELLA cute btw) and I couldn’t of been happier. Great service, friendly, and awesome recommendations of places to visit.

If you’re looking for sneakers, this place is solid. They have a wide selection and are very helpful. Just nice people in general. That said, it’s a small operation so no dressier shoes, leather boots, etc. At least, not in the warm months but who knows what the winter will bring.

This place is really great. I rarely buy shoes and when I do I get them online. I like to search stuff/see variations etc. In any case my wife and I came inside the store and I immediately knew which pair I wanted. The place is easy to navigate and comfortable to walk around in. Sales guy was helpful without being in my face. OH also, their selection is really amazing. I usually think most shoes look dumb or too futuristic or whatever but these were a good mix of classy and popular. Would not hesitate to send friends here, no joke.

The folks at The Shoe Store were really helpful when I was thinking about purchasing and I ended up buying a $ 150 pair of rain boots. Within 24 hours an eyelet on the pair of shoes came completely off. I went back to exchange for a pair and was very frustrated by the customer service post sale. I was told they would charge me an additional $ 10 for the return/exchange since I had worn them outside(these are rain boots, mind you, and the eyelet broke after a single use) or they could give me a discount to go get them fixed. I was hoping that shopping at a local store would have great customer service but unfortunately once the sale has been made they seem to not stand behind their products at all.

My partner and i wandered in here both needing shoes. Not necessarily ready to buy, but ready to look in earnest. Great selection. Two people working behind the counter, one other couple in the store. No greeting, staff stayed behind the counter staring into one of their phones. Spent about five minutes looking around and nothing from staff. Zero interaction. I said thank you on the way out and got an effusive«you’re welcome» from the young man behind the counter. Oblivious.

Go buy your shoes here! We went in to look for shoes for my tiny friend. The owner was incredibly nice, and helped her try on several shoes. But, none had the four inch high soles necessary. Because it’s a sneaker store. I bought myself a nice reasonably priced set. Also, great sock selection. The space itself is beautiful and sunny, and the sitting bench was built by the owners!

Would be more aptly named the sneaker store since their entire inventory is thin soled, I suppose somewhat hip looking sneakers.

Check their return policy before wearing for any length of time. It’s not a store for people with feet problems either. If you need to wear it to find out if it’s comfortable don’t buy from here. However, the sales people were pleasant. It’s store with fun shoes to look cute in though :)

Cute, albeit small, store. Gola, Saucony, shoes made of Tyvek, Onitsuka Tigers… and more! Friendly(and good lookin’) staff and some sharp looking shoes. What more do you need? More selection? You won’t find it here, but there are definitely shoes or color combos you’ll find at The Shoe Store that you can’t find in most other shops.

Just picked up a pair of Clae Powell’s from The Shoe Store. Really cool space with interesting art pieces breaking up the shoe displays. If you like Clae, this is one of the few accounts they have in PDX. Also good selection of Native, Saucony, and Onitsukas. The reason I give 5 stars rather than 4 is because of the staff. Allan and Kelly were really interested in how I heard about there store and if there were any other brands I liked. Only been open for 9 mths, I’m hoping they stick around and keep building their selection.

This man I love, never, ever wants to buy new shoes. He will try on a pair, like them just fine, maybe even love them, wont buy them. He will say, «another time, not now, and that gives me an idea for later». I never thought I would see the day when he bought a new pair of shoes. We just had breakfast in the Alberta district and we walked into this shoe store. He seemed interested in the shoes they had right away. I gave him space, and let him browse the selection. The guy and gal working were very pleasant and hip. The store was small and the décor was trendy. I liked how it was a small selection, aimed towards the trendy crowd. Every brand on display had a small card posted on the wall with info about that brand and materials used. After trying on a few different pairs, he made a decision and purchased a new pair of shoes!!! I love this store so much! I owe them everything.

The Shoe Store is a cutesy little casual shoe store in the middle of the Alberta District. I came here to window shop. If you’re looking for brands like Puma, Gola, or Havanias, you can find them here! You can even find brands that are organic and green! Sorry you won’t find any Nike, Adidas or Reebok here! The store is small in size, it’s pretty much the size of a living room. They’ve got some art pieces on their walls as well from local artists(which are on sale). The employees were very nice and cheerful that day! Parking is on the streets of Alberta.

If you are in the market for a new pair of sneakers look no further than The Shoe Store. This place has a wide selection of both shoes and socks — and I’ve heard from a friend that they now have sandals. The inside of the store was open and nicely laid out. I literally tried on half of the styles of shoes in the store and the owner(Allan) was totally into it. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices(most shoes were in the $ 50 – 60 range if I remember right, with a few that were a bit more) given their look and style. Even though I live in Seattle, I’ll definitely be back to get my next pair of sneakers here!

The name certainly fits. This new show store has a super fun collection of well curated sneakers and casual footwear for very readonable prices. It’s nit a huge selection, but i think thats not the point. The shop has a nice airy feeling with well designed displays. Check out the faux bench ad. Overall a comfortable and enjoyable shopping experience. The sales staff/owners were extremely friendly and attentive while also low pressure. I love my new shoes!
