I have been having terrible pain in my intestines. I went in and they said I needed a colonoscopy. They day of the colonoscopy my blood pressure was high, so they cancelled the procedure and told me to go home. They told me I had to have my cardiologist clear me for the procedure. She cleared me and I went in again and it was still somewhat high and they wanted to cancel. Dr. Owens only told me that the cardiologist agreed that my blood pressure was too dangerous to put me under, so my only option was to do the colonoscopy without anesthesia. So, I did it and he only scoped halfway. Dr. Owens said he stopped because he knows that there is nothing wrong. He also told me there is nothing more he could do. He told me to eat high fiber diet and fiber supplements. FYI, I talked to my cardiologist later and she told me that she told Dr. Owens it was fine to go ahead with the colonoscopy with anesthesia, my blood pressure isn’t a problem. She also said it was probably gastroparesis and he should do the test for that instead. Dr. Owens never saw the blockage on the right side. For gastroparesis a high fiber diet is the worst thing you could do. I told Dr. Owens my pain increased when I took the fiber supplement. Thanks for the week of extra pain and not listening to my cardiologist and telling me what she told you! I won’t be going back there! I agree with the other reviews about the very long wait. I really wish there was a way to get my money back.

My husband and I had a great experience with this clinic. We worked with Dr Glenn Eisen, he was spectacular! Personable, compassionate, professional, prompt, and listens to his patients. After our initial appointment, Dr Eisen said he would follow up with us on test results and personally left us a message. His communication was great as well. He told us where we were in our medical treatment and what we may expect in the future based on our test results. Overall great visit. Their office was clean, stocked with fresh coffee, and had a friendly vibe. The nurse who did the intake was friendly and personable as well.

This review is about Dr. Wong and the rest of the team. I had a colonoscopy a week ago and, even though I dreaded the procedure, the staff at the Oregon Clinic — Gastroenterology made it easy and fast. They were all very professional and personable; a rare combination of qualities. After the procedure Dr Wong explained, in detail, the procedure and results. It was obvious that he is actually fascinated and enthusiastic about the science and his work. I only wish all of my encounters with medical professionals was this good. In the future I will not hesitate to return to Dr. Wong.

Not sure about posting personal medical information on here, but here goes nothing! I had an Upper GI Endoscopy 3 days ago with Dr. Carter. I was scared shitless to say the least. But it was much better than I thought. You arrive about an hour early, per request. You get called back about 20 mins later, strip down behind a curtain, put a gown on, hop onto a gurney and get the iv plugged in. My anesthesiologist was off the hook and really nice and informative about everything he was doing.(I also made sure to tell everyone and their mother about how nervous I was, so I think that helped). hahahaha. Before I knew it, I was wheeled in back to the operating room. I turned onto my left side and then all of sudden I was asleep. Like, the best sleep i’ve possibly ever had. It was over way too soon, id say I was down for about 15 – 20 minutes tops. As I was being wheeled back to recovery, I remember mumbling something to someone and then giggling and then my eyes opened. It was bizarre. But overall, my fear and nerves before this procedure really took over because this is was an easy, almost enjoyable experience. Well as enjoyable as it can get when there is tube down your esophagus. HA! I had a minor sore throat for about 4 – 8 hours but that was gone the next morning. I recommend Dr. Carter, he is super nice and knowledgeable. Also, the nurses apparently love working with him because he is really gentle with the esophagus(That just sounds weird), but I heard it through the grapevine!

Be prepared to wait forever. Every time we come here we have to wait to see doctor, wait to check out and they are SO disorganized. Its hard to believe a big office like this can be so disorganized. Terrible.

I waited for Dr. Shaffer for over an hour(I was a new patient) and finally left. There were no emergencies in the office, just poor planning and scheduling. Most disorganized office EVER. I will be billing Dr. Shaffer for the hour of work time lost.
