I helped my mother move into apartment 232. Please be aware that apartment is directly above a permanently vibrating piece of heavy equipment that renders one of the bedrooms unusable. It is uncomfortable to even sit in the room for more than a few minutes.
After a note from her doctor (what???, why was that even needed?), they did agree to break her lease and rent her another apartment.
The management has been attentive to other things regarding activities, so I rate them average. Not the care and concern you would want for your family, but not «landlord from hell» either. Beware of the surroundings (try to stay overnight before you sign a lease!) and all will probably work out in the end…

I’m just going to say buyer beware! I gave them a $ 250 deposit for an apartment. At the time I asked them if I should go ahead and give notice at my current place and was assured that would work. After two months of getting put off, delayed and assured I would be approved by the end of the week I was notified by my current landlord that they could no longer hold my apartment I either had to stay or go and since I was still not approved I asked for my deposit back by handing the manager a letter at 930 am. At 4 pm that same day I was notified that I was approved. They refuse to give me back my deposit because I was approved.
This is a very unethical and unprofessional establishment and I would not recommend it to anyone.
I am on social security, I went into the agreement expecting to move in. I believe they owe me my deposit back and believe this may be standard practice.

When we moved into this facility last year, it was very promising. I must agree with many of the previous negative comments because management at that time was not senior friendly. I became president of the Resident Council to affect change and advocate for the residents, but ran into BRICK walls constantly, consequently disbanding the Council.

New Management, new caring Manager, no longer feels like a concentration camp. I am optimistic now regarding the future of this residence and the feeling of community is returning! YAY

Low income senior housing — its a joke! The tax payers subsidized this building, yet the cost of a 1bedroom without! Services is $ 840/​month– the manager is unprofessional and heartless–

This place is really going downhill. The management company has changed several times in the last few years and the staff is in constant turnover. My mother has lived there for a little under 3 years and there is no staff I can recognize, including the directors, the finance people, the receptionists, the activity coordinators, not even housekeepers.
The latest complaints from residents have to do with services being cut, weekly outings and huge changes to the menus. The food is getting worse and less nutritious.
Yesterday my mother ate a dessert that had broken glass or plastic in it. She definitely swallowed a piece. The waitress she talked to about it came back saying it was glass, and that something broke in the kitchen. Later someone else said they thought it was plastic. I am absolutely calling the health department.
The rent keeps going up, and services offered are going down, they are obviously trying to save money buy cutting back on everything. When my mother moved in here, I was so happy for her. Tons of seniors for her to socialize with, eat meals with, and do activities. But now, I just can’t wait to get her out of there.

This is a fancy pants assisted living facility! The Portland Womens Intergenerational Choir meets here currently and this is the nicest we have been in. I cannot speak for what it is like to live there, but it is way nicer than my house, plus they have a ton of fun activities posted. Seems like a good gig. The staff I have encountered are very nice.
