Full disclosure: I have a hard time giving chain restaurants more than 3 stars. This is no exception. This is a Subway. There is nothing fancy here. I repeat, this is Subway AND this is Subway in Portland, a mecca for sandwiches, innovative food combinations, and service. So. With that said. This is a Subway. I frequent here because it is literally a minute drive from my work. They are fast, inexpensive, and fast(I couldn’t think of a third thing, but fast is important enough to write twice). There is one woman who works there that is awesome. Maybe the best Subway worker I’ve ever seen. You’ll know her if you see her because she is efficient and takes her job super seriously, which is awesome. She is often there in the morning and is always friendly and awake. I know my line is moving quickly if she’s behind the counter. You’ll also know if she isn’t there because, unfortunately, the line won’t move quickly. Anyways, since the whole«Jared being a creep» debacle, this Subway is doing a good job reminding customers that this is a quick, healthier-than-McDonald’s option, in Fried Food Land. I order the egg white flatbread for breakfast. Toast it up, then add tomatoes, spinach, onions, and yellow mustard. It might sound like a weird mix, but it’s very tasty and only $ 3.50.
