Why would you go to this subway when there is the East Side Deli like 2 blocks away on Lombard? Seriously, don’t go to subway — go to the east side deli — it’s a billion times better.

They give generous portions compared to other subway locations. Friendly staff, fresh veggies, nice facilities.

This Subway shop is across the street from one of the properties I manage, so when my lunch alarm goes off and I’m there, it’s not a bad thing to run across the street and grab a sandwich. Their 6-inch BLT or Veggie Delite are both reliably good at turning off my lunch alarm(tummy growling), It’s a very clean shop. The staff seem to be good at both working hard and being polite and friendly. They were very efficient today while producing a large catering order and didn’t miss a beat while helping me. Good job, guys!

There’s a lot of turnover here. I go in about 1−2x per month and it seem to always be newbies. There’s one guy who’s worked there over a year, just one guy. Stopped in after work today for dinner. Got home, unwrapped«my» sandwich only to discover that it wasn’t my sandwich, it was someone else’s. Aaaarrrrgh! I drive back to Subway, explain the issue 3TIMES as the guy looks at me all confused, then he says«ok we’ll make you a new sandwich» as if it was my fault that they messed up. The girl who made my first sandwich remade my second sandwich. She was very nice and made an effort to give good customer service(she was not the person who gave me the wrong sandwich by the way, it was the cashier). She apologized, but you would think they would have at least offered a free beverage or chips or cookie or SOMETHING for me having to drive back plus waste like 30 minutes.

Everything at Subway is drenched in the same manufactured Subway flavor. But hey, where else can you go to get a sandwich with three razor thin slices of meat for $ 5?

Ya, it’s a Subway. Same sandwich options as the rest(minus sourdough bread! the only reason I’m not giving it a five). The staff here is WONDERFUL! Every time I go in, regardless of how empty or slammed they are, the people behind the counter are in good spirits, and are very nice to talk to while they prep your sandwich. Last week I went in with my family to get sandwiches for a picnic, and my hubs and I split a foot long. I opted for just veggies, so the lady said she could double up on the meat and cheese for my hubby’s half since we were paying for it, anyways! Great idea, and my hubs loved it, too!

Seriously, who would review Subway? Well, I would because the people that this one astound me. Every time I go there they are so nice and smiley and genuine and it surprises me because it’s like«hello, this is a fast food place, why is everyone being so nice to me and acting like they are enjoying their job?» Things I appreciate at this Subway: It is clean and shiny looking inside. And of course you can get some really soft and tasty cookies to go with your sandwich and that’s always a plus. But really, it is the employees that I can’t get over. Why are they so nice to me?! I don’t understand it, but I can only assume that the manager or owner is just really good at hiring people and then treats them well. Thanks sandwich artists, keep up the good work.
