Medical Massage:
Treatment specific Massage Therapy for clients who have had a recent motor vehicle injury and need a focused rehabilitation treatment plan. The therapist works with and under the guidance of their client’s treating physician for a specified time. Includes insurance billing, detailed charting and progress reports to their physician.
Injury Focused Massage:
Deep tissue and Advanced Myofascial Techniques are incorporated into this focused massage treatment. Little to no lotion is used, instead, direct pressure is applied to restricted muscles and the incorporation of passive or active movements. Focus in one or more treatment areas to increase blood flow and healing time and decrease either acute or chronic pain from the injured areas.
Relaxation Massage:
The therapist works to deepen your relaxation by using deep tissue or Swedish massage techniques which help to release old restrictions, decrease stress and increase your circulation until your tension melts away.
History
Established in 2004.
Structural Healing Massage and Bodywork, was founded by Brandi Nelson. Brandi worked for several years building a practice with a focus on stress reduction, increasing relaxation, and helping clients to overcome their injuries. After bringing Dawn Killian-Davis in as an associate in 2010, Brandi passed on her skills and business fundamentals. Since 2011, Structural Healing has been owned and operated by Dawn, with additional support from her associate Ryan Kaufman.
Our primary goal continues to be providing massage in a professional, relaxing and deep healing environment. We provide Advanced Myofascial Techniques for those suffering from chronic pain, whiplash, sports injuries or repetitive use injuries. Medical massage and insurance billing is available for those who have been in an auto-accident (prescription required) or if you have massage as a health covered benefit on your health insurance plan. We are a current Blue Cross Blue Shield preferred provider for massage therapy.
Meet the Business Owner
Dawn K.
Business Owner
Dawn has a passion for therapeutic massage! Since she was very young she has had the gift of pure healing touch. She loves spending the extra time getting to know her clients history before treatment, understanding their physical range of motion and restrictions, and takes the time to develop a specific treatment plan based on all of these things.
Dawn has studied at the University of Colorado, Dearborne Institute of Denver, and East-West College of Healing Arts in Portland. Additionally she has received continued education in Structural Integration (Based on principals of Rolfing and Anatomy Trains), Advanced Myofascial Techniques (taught by a certified Rolfer/LMT), and has additional training in Kinesio-taping for focused rehabilitative care.
In her spare time she likes to laugh, spend time with loved ones, cook, read, paint, dance, rock climb, work in her vegetable garden, hike, bike, roller skate, draw and listen to music.
