This place is in need of serious help. I agree with the reviewer before me, Plaid Pantry offers a better selection of beers. The entire store itself is oddly set up and it seems like beer is placed on display, rather than being sold. There’s a weird coffee station in the back too, I couldn’t tell whether the coffee coming out of the air pots was complimentary or being sold. I figure it was for sale though, since little packets of powdered donuts were haphazardly displayed on the same table as well.
Such a shame and waste of commercial space to be advertising over 99 types of beer and only delivering a handful of crappy ones.
And just as a side comment, what is with the big screen TV at the window, facing the street? It seems counter intuitive… what’s the point of having a TV where the people inside can’t see but can only hear it, while the people outside can see the picture and can’t hear the sound?

Better selection and price can be found at the Plaid Pantry down the street. Seriously.
The few coolers were stocked mainly with bottles of Alaskan and Pyramid and some other similar quality/​price beers. They did have Ninkasi Otis in 22’s, which is nice, but even on sale it was priced the same as your average corner market.
Very odd for a beer store in Portland to have such a limited offering. Seems like they’re just buying cheap brews like Alaskan and Pyramid in bulk and severely marking up the price. Lame!

Oh, it was too much to ask. Too much to think that a decent bottle shop might open in my hood.
My husband and I walked into Stout Market hoping to pick up some beer to restock the fridge. And then we walked out with one of the only bottles of beer from a craft brewery they stocked. Matt felt bad for them.
Seriously, this place is seriously weird. There was almost no beer at all. There were one bottle each of three different brews from a California micro and the rest was all domestics (we’re talking cases of Coors). Seriously, no Ninkasi, no Full Sail. As aggressive as Ninkasi distributes I didn’t think you could keep them out of a beer shop.
Then there was the wine. Let us disregard the fact that it was about 110 degrees in there, not the best thing for wine and that it was all stored and display on their bases, instead on on their sides. Again, there was weirdly few bottles for space allotted.
What they did have enough of was giant TV, neon, and snack food. Seriously, there is a HUGE old-​school big screen in this teeny-​tiny shop (further increasing the oppressive heat) and neon-​signs in way too little real estate in the window. They also sell snacks, which is okay, but it was a little funny that there were more snacks than bottles of either beer or wine. It looked like a badly stocked mini mart.
I do feel bad for them if they are really trying to make a go of it, because they seem a bit confused.
