I used to work at Starbucks and never in my life have I met such A**HOLES at any starbucks location!!! Don’t even give them a chance to ruin your day. I’m visiting from out of state and went here twice in a row. Completely different staff, same JERKISH attitude. Oh, and it smells like B.O. and the store is filthy

Very slow service and patrons got there drinks before I did. Seriously no urgency displayed by any of the baristas. They’re definitely in need of some training and should watch how the team on NW21st and Lovejoy works. They’re on point always.

If it weren’t the only one near me on the way to work I would definitely skip this one. It may be great if you’re hoofing it, a great location and people watching. If you’re in a car, then it’s an experiment in terror. The parking lot has about ten cars… SMALL cars. If you have a truck forget about it. The odd street outlets make it even more awkward. Signs clearly indicate ‘Starbucks Parking Only’. There may be some masochists in large Buicks who might try to give it a go, but they’ll only do it ONCE! It’s worth it to go out of my way in rush hour to avoid this one and go to one that has a drive-thru or better parking. Staff is good and wait time minimal. Call ahead is a great option but then there is the damnable parking when you get there.

Honestly, I dont know what the allure is here. The coffee always taste burnt to me. I know they are everywhere. Now so is any coffee joint. I honestly think their only advantage now is they take all kinds of cards and they have multiple ways to pay and order. They stand at least a dollar more than every other coffee place you go to. There other items are well clearly defrosted from somewhere deep in the freezer. I think they are admitting their product is inferior because they are highlighting so many other products. Frozen this bubble this pure that. What happened to your coffee? O and the attitude. Go in there and order a medium coffee. The kickback. Well do you want an espresso, mochchino, carmelatto, ??? Huh medium coffee. Please I know it has its followers. I know it is something most people consume on a regular basis. Its just not good. Not good at all.

Wow! Shift supervisors who argue with customers! Shift supervisors who want to overcharge you, and blame their manager who isn’t there for«making them». It’s laughable really… I asked them who paid them, the answer«Howard Schultz» I told them that Howard gets his money from… hold on…, the CUSTOMERS! Needless to say, this store stands behind each other, they speak badly of customers, and seem to think that they can stay in business without CUSTOMERS buying their coffee that they don’t give a rats ass about when they make it! And I’ll be the first one to say they don’t get paid enough… but if you want to argue with a customer. I can’t defend that! BOO, HISS!, and SHAMEONYOUHOWARDSCHULTZ for hiring employees that don’t know who actually pays them!

Who doesn’t love Starbucks? This particular one is in a decent location. It has plenty of seating and outlets too! This is important to my husband and I as we work from home and sometimes it’s nice to get out of the house to get work done on the computer. As usual the baristas are friendly and efficient. The store is clean. They make the drinks right, rather than messing them up like some places.

I had the aged Sumatra reserve coffee and it was ok. Maybe I just haven’t experienced good coffee yet, kind of like the first time I drank a single malt scotch. I was like, ‘what’s the big fuss about scotch.’ I’m giving this location sub par ratings because it wasn’t supper clean. And I didn’t see anybody clean up the tables during the two hours I was there. This is in an awesome location. Notice to Starbucks: make this location a center piece of your empire!

This is consistently the worst Starbucks in Portland. They used to be great before the remodel a few years back and then the place turned into«wanna be Soup Nazi kitchen». The employees here have no life and it is clear by the conversations they have about customers in front of other customers. They are so intent on listening to their own conversations, they cannot even get a tall coffee order correct. I don’t believe in spanking kids, but if any of these children belonged to me, I would revisit the idea, daily. I have never seen a manager or at least no one who acts like one. I have previously emailed corp. offices to let them know, but judging but the consistently poor service, they don’t believe in spankings either. If it weren’t for the fact that this location is on my way to work, I would skip it. Let’s be honest, I actually go without coffee some mornings because this place is so bad. Rhymes with sucks, Hollywood Starbucks. I give you one star too many.

Why people eat at Starbucks is beyond my comprehension. I don’t see an actual kitchen here only reheating devices so its McDonald food under Starbucks flagship :-) Btw I’m looking forward to google wifi st Starbucks as AT&T sucks :-)

i don’t generally write reviews but the service I received today was absolutely horrendous. Although the cashier was your normal smiling face the barista, by the name of Sarah, who ended up making my drinks could not be bothered to help. I ordered 3 drinks this morning and asked the barista for sleeves around my drinks, I attempted to get her attention in which her response was«yes do you need something» I asked for 3 sleeves, steam stoppers, and a drink carrier she proceeded to respond by saying«Are there not sleeves in front of you» I apologized for not notcing them she gave me 2 steam stoppers and went back to making drinks I asked again for additional stopper and carrier and her reponse then was«what else do you want!» Her tone, attitude, and demeanor was not what I expect from anyone who works in the service industry. Sarah’s lack of professionalism in dealing with me as a customer left more than a sour taste in my mouth as my over priced drink with a side of bad service was luke warm at best.

Odd location and odd inside space. This is a more traditional coffee-shop in that it’s a «come get it and leave» kind of Starbucks. Staff was generally friendly. Bathrooms were clean.

This Starbucks has always been quite friendly and very fast. While my drink isn’t complicated, it is unusual and they always make it perfectly. I used to work at Starbucks, and I know that Starbucks feels that you should be able to go to any other Starbucks and get your drink exactly the way you want it, but that’s just not true in all cases. The team here is amazing. On one occasion, they were missing the salt topping that they have, and so they comped my drink, which was above and beyond what was necessary. If you’re in the neighborhood, and you want a coffee drink that is fast and tasty, give this Bucks a try.

This is a pretty standard Starbucks. Friendly staff and quick service. My only complaint is the parking lot which is small and always full. There is plenty of street parking, but the location is in an awkward intersection and can be hard to navigate.

Great service. Love the staff here. The people really are top notch. I do wonder, though, if the manager EVER goes home. Morning and night she is there. She works too hard. Hate hate hate HATE the new design. It’s uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I think the staff is supposed to say that ‘there’s more room,’ but the configuration makes it seem like you are crowded together and feels like there is less room. Trying to bend down and reach the hard to see plug-ins is a chore and trying to reach into the teeny tiny thin reach ways by the register to get your coffee is insane. Seriously. Who designed this monstrosity. I used to only go to this coffee shop. Lately, I’ve gone to more coffee shops in the area than I have in fifteen years of driving by here to catch the highway drive. Nice job, Mr. Designer(did you design the equally unappealing and uninviting Sherwood Starbucks, too? Because now I don’t like to go there, anymore, either.) Final straw for me is the district managers decision to do away with the newspaper refuse bin. The last few times I’ve gone in, papers have been strewn everywhere or tossed in the garbage. Now they don’t even recycle them. I never buy a newspaper anywhere. Ever. But I do appreciate and will spend my money someplace with a spot for old newspapers. I don’t usually write reviews, but between the new design and the customer-UNfriendly removal of the newspaper bin, I’m going to find a new hangout after fifteen years of going to that Starbucks. And, yes, if I’m going to go through the effort of not saving money by making coffee at home, those are things I expect at a coffee shop. Breaking up is hard to do, but we’ve clearly grown apart.

If there was ANY competition for my morning jolt of go-gettum in the neighborhood, especially Black Rock, my 1700.00 a year would be spent there instead of here. Overpriced, dismissive staff, the arrogance of Starbucks Corp. in general leaves me wishing I could go out of my way for a better experience. But alas, I’m a creature of(bad) habit.

Who would have thought I would write a review about starbucks, I guess there is first for everything. Nestled in the heart of the Hollywood district, this location is pretty small. The service is average and if your lucky, you’ll get a free size upgrade like my friend did when the barista made a bigger size than the one she ordered. The drink were surprisingly not terrible and actually had some flavor. Honestly I wouldn’t mind coming back to this location if I need a quick coffee fix.
