Meet the Business Owner

Dana W.

Business Owner

Dana has been mastering album releases for CD since 1995. He has worked on award winning projects for some of the great indie talents as well as recording legends. He also has extensive experience with recording/​mixing, broadcast audio, CD manufacturing, mastering for cassette, and CD-​ROM.

Dana has studied music performance and sound recording technology at the University of Massachusetts-​Lowell (BMus). He is conversant with many aspects of composition, arranging, performance, and recording production in all major genres.

Dana has been a member of the Audio Engineering Society since 1993.

In 2001 Dana founded Specialized Mastering after working for 9WEST Mastering where he served full time as principal mastering engineer. He is currently working in Portland and returns for projects in Boston.
