Southwest Charter School (SWCS) is a small, place based state charter school located in SW Portland, Oregon. We have been a family at the school since it opened in 2007 and we love all of the teachers, administration, aides and other parents. The school focuses on civics, arts and science and brings the children into their own community to learn about these subjects along with reading, writing and math. The class sizes are small and the teachers truly love the children and do an amazing job (often without the resources afforded to most other public schools). We highly recommend the school.
