History

Established in 1964.

Jens Bruun was the creative and inspirational founder of Scan Design Furniture. He immigrated from Denmark to the United States in 1961 with his wife Inger. He opened his first Danish Furniture store in Bellevue in 1964. Over the years he steadily added stores in Washington and Oregon. His eye for craftsmanship and design earned Scan Design a reputation among its customers for providing fine quality Scandinavian furniture.
