Safeway Food & Drug

Went to the deli to get some salad and two girls were chit chatting away and about 3 mins later one said «do you want something?» I thought to myself no I’m just standing here for the hell of it… maybe she could of said «I’m sorry, how can I help you???» Then I went to the pharmacy to pick up my Meds and as always, I’m standing there like I’m invisible. The this man walks right up behind me and says «hi Jay, my meds should be on the shelf right there» so the gal retrieved his meds rang him up and still never even looked at me standing right there. The guy had to push me aside so he could pay! I just left and thought how freaking rude! I always have to stand there waiting for long periods of times to get my meds cuz no one pays attention if there is a customer. One time I stood there for about 10 minutes and took out my cell phone and called them to ask if I could possible get some service… they were pretty pissed when I did that… another time I went to turn in a prescription and stood there for another 10 mins while Jay was sitting on a stool watching the flipping basketball game, picking his nose and eating it!!! Then finally he glanced over at me and said «oh, can I help you?» and I just threw my hands up and said forget it and walked away! That pharmacy needs some serious customer guidance and cleanliness of no picking your nose or watching tv while «working» and working with meds with bugger fingers!!! I’m thinking seriously about transferring my pharmacy!!!

I will not be shopping here again (which is a shame, since it is so close to my house).
The milk is always too close to expiration, the selection is not very good, the cashiers don’t know what to do with a few coupons, and the produce section… ugh.
I’ve gotten some not-​so-​great produce here before, but, my last trip was the last straw.
I spent close to $ 20 on produce and it wasn’t worth $ 5. I bough some peaches. They looked great! They were awful. The ONE that wasn’t rotten at the pit was mealy and dry. Well, they were all mealy. Within 24 hours, all but the peach I ate when I got home were mushy, moldy, and rotten. Big fail.
Now, let’s move onto the pears. I bought 4. The first 2 were decent. The second 2 (eaten around 48 and 60 hours after purchase) were brown and rotting at the core.
Now the apples… I bought a bag of apples (pre-​bagged). They looked great. Ha! Only the top 3 or 4 were anywhere near edible. Everything under the first layer was bruised and mealy or mushy. Huge disappointment.
Even the bag of onions I bought had mold within the first 4 days. Um… what in the world?! Onions should last for weeks!
In short, you would have to pay me to bring home anything perishable from this store.
