Remy is the nicest lady I encountered in Portland! Wonderful food and she was excited to share anything she had on offer. And the food met all expectations. I would recommend Remy’s Nipa hut to all!

Fantastic Philippino food! Remy is the owner and chef at the ONLY Portland street food vendor of its flavor. What a great place to stop at and don’t worry, if your not sure of what you’d like she’ll suggest something you’ll love! All the traditional main dishes and wildly yummy deserts! Get ready to eat, laugh and have your picture taken. So stop looking at where to go and get over there! Mabohi

Yum! Tasty food and very nice service. Can’t pick just one? They’ll do half and half for you — excellent for we non-decisive types. We went with the Filipino Pork Adobo, and the Veggie Masala(sp?), over rice, with a corn muffin and some kind of pepper salad. The pork was ahh-may-zing. Would go for that alone next time. The masala was good as well, just not as good as the pork. The rice was good… it was yellow, but I can’t remember why. The muffin was good, the salad I didn’t actually try(not a pepper fan in general). Great street-comfort food. Will be back eventually. Especially if they were to offer an good take-home dinner option, buying the stew on it’s own perhaps, in multiple serving size options?(Hint! Hint!)

We came across Remy’s Stewed Intentions. Robert the chef was able to get us couple of samples. I settled on the Filipino Pork Adobo rice bowl. It was okay… not enough of stew to rice ratio because I had too much rice. I like that he use a special india rice which made it different and the pork meat was very tender. I am more use to having Chicken as the protein in the Adobo. It set me back about $ 5. If you upgrade to a meal/plate, it will come with a muffin and bigger portions for few bucks more. Many food trucks around but if you are looking for some stews… try Remy’s!
