I just went to this location for a symptoms of the flu/strep throat. I waited in the lobby for about 45 minutes, pretty typical for a walk in clinic. Once they took me back and took my chief complaint I waited in the room for over an hour. Once the Dr came in she started addressing tonsil stones which was not the reason i came in, she then asked me what I wanted her to do about them. I told here that the reason I was there was for a fever, chills headaches etc, not tonsil stones. Ultimately I just wanted to see if I have strep throat and need to start antibiotics. After less than 5 minutes in the room with me she sent me away with 3 prescriptions for symptoms I wasn’t even experiencing, cough and congestion. Overall diagnosis… A sore throat. I spent 2 plus hours for a visit that didn’t do me any good and didn’t get me any closer to feeling better. I’d choose zoomcare Bridgeport over them any day, they are nicer and have better patient care.

Over the past week, my husband had to get to urgent care to get stitches. Only to come home with tetanus shot infection and his stitches too were infected. Excuses doesnt cut it. Blamed it on my husband getting skin infection when his arm swelled up. I am disgusted at how the hospital neglected basic health code!

My actual imaging services were pleasant. Trying to get my images sent to the correct place has been a nightmare. The day of my imaging I brought in my doctor’s request form that included all the relevant mailing info and made it very clear this was where it needed to be sent. A week later, my doctor hadn’t received it so I called to check in. I was directed to their records department where I left a message explaining the issue, giving all my contact info, and never heard back. A week later I called to check in again, this time asking that I not be put through to records because I wasn’t getting my calls returned. The woman on the phone said she would check in with records first thing in the morning to check on the issue. I never heard back. I called again and the front desk tried to put me through to records again, but after hearing my previous experiences said they would keep me on the line while they checked on the issue. They found out no, the records hadn’t been sent, but they would rush them out immediately. Weeks of waiting for a time sensitive medical issue that potentially requires surgery to be planned with my doctor. We’ve lost weeks of time that the issue could be properly treated, weeks I could be recovering. I will never go to this imaging center again.

I ended up at Providence Bridgeport Immediate Care on Sunday at about noon, and not being from the Portland area, combined with having out of area insurance, I was thinking this could only go badly. Walked in and was greeted immediately by the front desk, they took my insurance with no problem and I was taken back within about 5 minutes. They took a UA sample, and then Dr. Corbett came in. After getting the lab results, they decided that I needed to go to the Emergency Room, so I picked OHSU, they faxed everything over and I was off for a long visit to the ER. Each and every person at Providence Bridgeport was very kind and professional. And here was the part that completely amazed me, they waived the office visit charge since they couldn’t treat me and only billed the $ 12 lab work fee. Overall a great place, would definitely come again if the need were to arise in Portland.

Went here for an MRI. I was going to be late because of traffic, so I called them, and they worked me in no problem. Thank you!

I don’t often think to review a hospital type place, especially one as massive as a Providence. I had to go get a MRI recently and my orthopedic guy sent me to the imaging center @ Providence Bridgeport. As far as hospital/clinics go, it’s very typical from an aesthetic perspective. I actually prefer the VA myself, but I’m a hospital fan. Yes, I’m odd, but hospitals make me feel at home… could be that I grew up around the VA, OHSU, and other hospitals in the metro area when my mom was going to school and doing internships but, reminds me of my childhood… ooh the pleasant memories. anyway, I digress… So why post about my experience? Well, the imaging folks at this Providence were solid. Damn friendly, informative, talkative, and downright nice people. Usually I feel pretty sterile when having any outpatient procedures done, kinda like a lab rat. But the techs here were funny and good humored, even at 8 in the morning. Not to mention, some decent taste in music for the torturous 40+ minutes in a metallic tube where’d I’d otherwise be listening to the clunks, grinds, and whirs of the MRI. Bonus points for the guy running the MRI having visible tattoos. I like it when a hospital makes their staff take their jobs seriously but allows them to be themselves at the same time. Makes for a good patient experience.
